The first one was discouraged in my school as students would sometimes lock the leg out and then the uki's weight is all on the leg. Not a 100% break, but enough of a risk to damage your leg. The second one is closer to drop seoi-nage with less chance of hurting your leg. Like you said, too Aikido, rarely would someone just face forward when someone is coming up behind you, so it would be more of a last minute look/reaction but level change is always a good surprise to standing attacks. Congrats on being one of The Seven Samru...I mean ninjas. ;)
Oh, cool. Muhyoshi Ryu has armored applications.

Thank you.

If you're doing it right and actually committing to the throw, the uke's weight should NOT be on your leg at all
@@alittlepuertoricanboy1993 And what student does it perfectly right the first time or the fifth?
@@canadafree2087 You don't even have to be a beginner to mess up a throw, and it's not like there aren't throws you can use to set up the ganseki nage
It's easy to toss a doll.. It's a different matter trying to toss a full grown adult weighing over 70kilos
That "doll" is actually about the weight and mass of another human being
@@alittlepuertoricanboy1993 I see. My bad.
@@palpatine1975 It's all good, fam. You're busy running a whole galactic empire, you don't got time for stuff like that. ;p
