How do I love these bags? Let me count the ways…! Ditto on the number of mistakes I make on a daily basis! Geesh! A running tally would yield an excessive use of time! Lol I do love these little bags! Great for keeping the grands’ overnight supplies separated & clean!
We all make mistakes. 😂 It makes it more fun when they come up on the video, we just have to laugh with you, not at you. You are a star. Thanks for another great video.
That's true Pamela, we all do make mistakes. I'm always saying that I don't like to edit them out, and this was a perfect example. Oh well, we all had fun. Take care and have a great week!
I hope you give them a try, they're very fun! I watch a lot of Jess's videos, but I don't work with vinyl, like she does. So I tend to watch the videos that I find I can adapt with cotton and interfacing.
These are too cute! I can think of so many uses for these smaller sizes. Mistakes are just part of life and I appreciate you keeping those in your videos because you offer suggestions and fixes for us when we make mistakes! I hope you have a great Sunday!
Hi there Nancy! Yes, there are a lot of uses for them I was saying to someone else that I made a longer version this morning so that I could fit a charging cord and charging block into them. Someone else said they keep their clover clips in them. I hope you give them a try! Hugs!
Hi Marie. I love these little pouches. You can use them to clip on your purse to hold your chap stick, spare car remote (I like to carry a backup) and even the "YOU KNOW WHAT, Hand Sanitizer." Gonna enjoy making these and putting them to use. Thanks again.
Hi Teri! Yes, they're very fun to make and there are so many uses for them. As you say, hand sanitizer... the one thing that everyone seems to carry around these days. I've been making those little bags for years, but just really never thought about doing a tutorial until this week.
From one Marie to another, Jack the Seam Ripper is great for mistakes. I love these pouches too. I have made a few in the past. One has some of my quilting clips in it. ❤ Thanks for the honest video.
You're very welcome to "another Marie", haha! You're right though the same ripper can be our best friend some days. I had one of those days today although I did end up finishing the project just fine. One to whole quilting clips is a great idea!
Hi Janet! That is absolutely true, the States are the only way we learn. I wasn't feeling a 100% that day and I tried to film anyway which just led to me making mistakes. Oh well, it was all in fun. Take care and I hope you have a great week!
I love to watch to see when people have the same fabric as me... I call it playing "I-spy", haha. I'm glad you liked the video, mistake and all. Take care and have a great week!
Yes, the possibilities are endless. Depending on the size, they could be used for most anything. When I make larger ones I usually make them in a different manner, so that I don't have those inside pieces. But they really don't bother mw too much.
Yes, there are just so many possibilities. I hadn't thought about lipstick. I thought about phone chargers, clips, change, but that's a great idea. I hope you'll give it a try, they're very fun!
These are so adorable, I first learned to make boxed bags from that same video! I loved your extra pointers, and especially that you leave the bloopers in, and besides, mistakes add character!!!
Speaking of mistakes- I got to the boxing corner part and my corners are just too bulky .even after trimming the bulk- call it being overtired …. I think my batting was too thick too …
These are so adorable!! I consider myself an advanced beginner. If it wasn't for the mistakes I make.. I'd never learn from it. 😂 hope you're feeling better
Hello Laura! Yes thank you, I'm feeling a lot better. It's true though, we learn from every mistake we make and we're more apt to remember it if we've made mistakes, too.
Hey Marie! I love the tiny bags, that's awesome. I might make one for my son to keep his ear buds in. Great idea. I didn't realize that you could make them so small. :) I make mistakes just about every time I sew, it happens. You fix them and move on or you put it to the side and go take a nap. Then come back when you're more with it. It happens...
High Amanda! I was thinking of you today I'm wondering if you had found out anything about your gall bladder surgery. I hope you're feeling OK! Yes, those bags would be perfect for earbuds. I've used them for a lot of different items. I made a little bit longer one today and put a charging cable and the charging block in it. There are just so many uses! I like your idea about a nap, lol!!!
@@MariesScrappyCreations Hi Marie! Nope nothing yet. They did resend the hida scan order, but I won't hear back until they get pre-approval from the insurance company. Then hopefully we can get the scan and see what's going on in there. Now it's moved over to my pancreas. So I guess the stone is migrating around. I'm taking bile salts to dissolve it, but it takes time. If I hadn't started taking bile salts a month and a half ago I'm sure I would have had ER surgery by now. They have waited too long and now I want to keep my gallbladder. Lol... Good idea on the charging cables and the block, that's genius too. :) Naps are great, lol. :)
That's a good way to think about it, it is unique and maybe it gives it character, haha. That bag I made certainly has character with only one top stitched seam, haha. Have a great week!
Hi Judy! Yes, I hope you give them a try. They're very fun and people seem to love them. I like to cut a bunch out all at once and then sew them all at once. Have a fabulous week!
That's a great idea! They could hold coins, all sorts of small objects. I was just telling someone else that I made a longer one today so that it would hold a charging cable and a charging block. It was the perfect size for that! Take care and have a great week!
Yes I did hand stitch and I forgot to put that in the video. I think at the end, I wrote the words across the screen though. That's why I used the word "mistake" as our creative word of the day, haha.
Hi Marie. I can't wait to try and make this. I always look forward to your tutorials. Im curious, what do you think of the zipper foot that came with the Brother pq1500? If you don't use it and found an alternative, let me know. Thanks 😍
Hi! Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoy my content. As far as the zipper foot that came with my new machine, I haven't tried it out yet. I was just working on a project today and realized that I could have popped that zipper foot on there and given it a try. I haven't sewn on it much yet because right after I got it, I didn't feel very well and I'm just now starting to feel better. It (the zipper foot) doesn't look like I expected it to, so I hope it works ok.
That is a good question. Sizing will just give your fabric a little bit of body and you'll be able to iron creases, or just iron in general, easier. Spray starch will make it stiffer and give a lot more structure to the fabrics. For instance, if I wanted to iron a dress shirt, I would use spray starch because I know it would keep it from getting all creased up. That would be a perfect use for spray starch.
Who doesn't make a mistake now and then?
That's true Peggy it happens to all of us, doesn't it? Oh well, that's why we own seen rippers, haha. Take care!
How do I love these bags? Let me count the ways…! Ditto on the number of mistakes I make on a daily basis! Geesh! A running tally would yield an excessive use of time! Lol
I do love these little bags! Great for keeping the grands’ overnight supplies separated & clean!
They are great little bags aren't they, Lesa? I love your "running tally" idea though, haha!
Mistakes are what life is all about🙃
Live and learn!!!
Thanxabunch for your projects 🥰. ❤️😀
I love this video. Mistake and all!!! LOL
That's so sweet of you! I made more than one mistake hahaha. I hope you have a great week!
We all make mistakes. 😂 It makes it more fun when they come up on the video, we just have to laugh with you, not at you. You are a star. Thanks for another great video.

I can’t wait to make these Marie. Jess’s channel is great. I love watching yours.
I hope you give them a try, they're very fun! I watch a lot of Jess's videos, but I don't work with vinyl, like she does. So I tend to watch the videos that I find I can adapt with cotton and interfacing.

If I made the small bag in the video I would have so many mistakes. Enjoyed your video today. Have a great week.
I bet you could make that in a heartbeat, Mary! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you have a great week, too. Take care!
Mistakes happen! But you are really good, make beautiful things. Loved the video.
Thank you, Terrie, you're so sweet! Oh, and I was using one of my coasters today. I love the gift you sent, thank you again!

So so so cute these little bags !
Recognizing mistakes enhances the experience
That's true! Plus, as someone else said, it gives the project "character". I'm going to go with that, hahaha. Have a great week!
Marie, if we didn't make mistakes how would we learn. Making mistakes makes us human. We are not perfect, right?
Great tutorial Marie.
Hi Janet! That is absolutely true, the States are the only way we learn. I wasn't feeling a 100% that day and I tried to film anyway which just led to me making mistakes. Oh well, it was all in fun. Take care and I hope you have a great week!
Thanks, I'm having a great time.....SEWING!! Finally 😃
We all have our off days but the tutorial was awesome. 🎈
I have the same colorful fabric
but only have scraps left. Enjoyed the replay. Thank you. No mistake.
I love to watch to see when people have the same fabric as me... I call it playing "I-spy", haha. I'm glad you liked the video, mistake and all. Take care and have a great week!
Love it. Love the idea of making them up in all different sizes. Larger for shoe bags for traveling purposes too.
Yes, the possibilities are endless. Depending on the size, they could be used for most anything. When I make larger ones I usually make them in a different manner, so that I don't have those inside pieces. But they really don't bother mw too much.
loved the video, oh heck Marie, I make mistakes all the time, I try not to make a mistake but heck I'm human, lol Have a great sunday
Hi Linda, I'm glad you like the video! Well, we all make mistakes, but that video had a couple, haha.
Thanks for keeping it real mistakes are creative designs .
My pleasure 😊
Thank you for this video! I never made small zippered bags before! They are so cute. Would hold a lipstick or change.

I’ve been called a character before, ha ha ha. Just joking!
Yes, Mary, probably the batting was too thick. I bet it will work out better the next time you try it! Have a wonderful week!
These are so adorable!! I consider myself an advanced beginner. If it wasn't for the mistakes I make.. I'd never learn from it. 😂 hope you're feeling better

Just made this. I’m not sure if I made any mistakes or not, but I love this video. Thank you for another fun sewing tutorial ❤
I'm so happy that you like the video and that you sewed one. I hope you had fun and I wish you a great week!
We all make mistakes, you could top stich by hand to make it look even. Great video. Have a great day.
Great minds think alike, because I had thought the same thing about top stitching by hand. Thank you so much for always watching and for your comment!
@Marie’s Scrappy Creations you are very so welcome 🙏 Marie.
I make plenty of mistakes in sewing, so I always have my seam ripper close by. Depending where the mistake, I might leave it & make it unique 🤣
That's a good way to think about it, it is unique and maybe it gives it character, haha. That bag I made certainly has character with only one top stitched seam, haha. Have a great week!
Love your lil bags. They are soo cute. Im gonna try making a few Thank you for sharing.

We learn from our mistakes
We certainly do Doris. Everything is a learning experience, isn't it? You take care and I hope you have a great week!
so cute ,would make nice coin pouch,

Nice stuffs
Thanks for sharing
You’re welcome, I’m glad you liked it! I think it’s a fun little project and a great way to use up small pieces.
These are so cute ! Did you hand stitch the lining opening? I must have missed that part❤
Yes I did hand stitch and I forgot to put that in the video. I think at the end, I wrote the words across the screen though. That's why I used the word "mistake" as our creative word of the day, haha.
