i had 2 slots that didn't work right when i bought mine , there are a few things that can be wrong with it , usually the cam adjustment isnt the problem they are all set the same usually , the cluster switches may be faulty thats the 3 row micro switches you can order new ones usually on ebay , the main issue with mine was that someone had taken the 4 screws out of one of the cam assemblies and had it off but when they put it back on they installed the can trey 180 degrees out so it didn't vend properly , so what i did was i took the 4 screws out of the plate holding the cam assembly off it will come off all as one piece there is basically a crank for the can trey sticking out i flipped it the other direction and put it all back together , worked great , thats a great looking machine btw nice find !
No problem , i would make a video showing how to solve those issues but i sold my machine last year , looking for one that is slightly smaller that i can put in the garage , most likely going to get a coca cola or dr pepper machine next , if i find a weird one like the 7up machine again i may go that rout like a faygo or an old surge machine i know its very unlikely but a crystal pepsi machine would be pretty fun ,
I just picked up one of these. For some reason I can't get it to dispense any cans on any of the buttons. When I push a button I can hear something kick on. But none of the gears turn or anything.
I've been checking Ebay & Amazon but can't find the right fit, and expensive about $320. Actually, the freon escape when the machine was left lying down due to theft in another location. So, I'd like to try freon recharging DIY 1st.
Hi Aaroon. The reason you are droping 2 cans at a time is because out of the 2 metal tabs on the cherry switches to the cam, only the first one in suposed to be in the cam notch when the cam is at rest, bend the second one to space them apart slightly. Syrup usualy ( and i dont know how with the cover on) gets to the swithes over time, and slows their reaction time down, unplug the machine and hit them with very hot water, that will clear aney solitified sugar from broken cans in the past. Let me know how you make out.....Dave....
Yes I got it figured out. The brass brake system was covered in sugar. I tore them apart and cleaned each with a mixture of Windex and Ammonia. All rows are currently working correctly now. Thanks for your insight.
@@AaronRankin Great, the dixi narco 168 is the perfect size mach. For a novelty mach. It was a special order mach. In the early to mid 80's, placed in places like teachers lunch rooms. There were very few made compared to its bigger family members 276, 368, 501, & 600. Altho it is conciderd an outside machine, i would concider an indor location, it may increase in value. Coke & pepsi no longer allow mach. To be released to the public for liability reasons ( fires due to old/ faulty wires). I wouldn't mess with doing a refill, because you have to find the leak. I purchased a whole refurbished refrigeration unit on Ebay. The company I used gave me a discount if I sent my old unit to them. They paid the return postage.

i was digging around my shop a few minutes ago and found a brand new dixie narco cluster switch that i forgot i had , i can throw it in a bubble mailer and send it to you if you want so you can test to see if that is in fact the problem with yours ,
No Problem i know you will be able to put it to some use , i have it all packed up and ready to go , if im out and about tomorrow il drop it off at the post office and PM you the tracking number ,
I know all about vending machines because I use them all the time so I am around them all the time so I am a vending machine inthusiest so I know what they do and what they don't do

They are the same style key, but they are different. You can drill the lock out, and replace the lock. Videos on UA-cam show how.

I have a dncb 168/99 ...you put your coin in and do not push a button it send out a soda what wrong with it I have replace the push switch

You have to fix the cams that are dropping two cans at a time that stops the cans from going two at a time
