Making a Game : Subway Surfer in Buildbox 3

- Hi Guys,
Lets create a gameplay like Subway surfer in Buildbox 3, Buildbox released a Beta version of Buildbox 3 which is pretty much stable and you can create alot of games with it as of now. Currently They did not release its final version and they did not confirm the date of their final release but right now with Beta you can export your game to iOS and Android.

when i put the jump node and tested it, when i swiped it made be spin on the ground and didnt make me jump

Hello, i added another move node to the asset, so the speed increases with time. Now i have a little problem. When the character gets faster and i swipe left/right it leaves the path. Can i somehow limit it so the player stays in 3 lanes (left, mid, right) ? Thanks for the great tutorial and assets tho!

@@boringbearMedia imgur.com/a/G7o6dT9 this is the node setup for the character, i just added another Move node for speed increase over time. Somehow video preview is lagging so hard, it's hard to see. But basically the problem is, when the character gets faster and is moved to either left/right it starts to slide a little bit, so it sometimes hits the corners. I'll try to get a video preview without lags rn.
@@zoobastars7022 I think i know what is happening here, When you change a speed, Everything is connected to it gets higher, So Physics going to be effected with it as well, You may need to find a different workaround for that, there are some new nodes in new version with you can set Speed inside the nodes.

cant afford buildbox atm, so using a cracked version, so I'm stuck at 2.3.3 - so cant open files like this :/ it kinda sucks.

How to make missions like in subway surfers? Example to collect 300 coins in one run and jump 30 times?
i think you can use event observer for that 300 coins collect and then do something when collected.

the left & right movements are not restricted to one swipe only in this.. if i keep swiping left, it will keep going left.. how can i avoid that
You can restrict the Position by using Position Limiter maybe.

Yea it was created in early Beta version of Buildbox, Alot has changed but you can follow along, mostly they just changed the titles of functions and maybe merged them in some other node. you may have to check.

Hey, How are you setting up the Movements ? You must understand this video is from a Beta version of BB3, Now there are many new functions and elements in the software and you may have to tweak a bit.

Hey, Buildbox 3 Games runs smooth on very limited High end Android Devices, They are already working on this So it runs on all available android devices. for now you need to make sure you do not use too many objects in a scene.

Well, i think you can add multiple characters exactly like you would do in BB2.
Level selection will also be on UI blocks just like BB2, the only difference will be you have to use Event Manager Node from within your logic of nodes. like if character collides with something the level is clear. Check level clear template.

You can export OBJ files and then import them in Buildbox.

How are you setting up a friction with BB3 ? It is under Physics Settings in Start Node

Hello, Currently You can not add a character like subway surfer. Maybe in future updates we will be able to add.

How to add level
Adding Levels is easier, You just have to check the timeline section of your editor and you will find Plus button.
