  • Filmed at Fort Lowell Park in Tucson, AZ as part of the Arizona Archaeological and Historical Society (AAHS) 2024 Winter Party. The panel discusses Cultural Resource Management (CRM) in-depth from a variety of perspectives including quality field training, collaboration with descendant communities, and working in private companies, public lands, and not-for-profit organizations. Topics are aimed at archaeology students, beginning professionals and others interested in the field of archaeology.
    Panel moderator is Emily Jonsson, a Masters student at the University of Arizona in Applied Archaeology and AAHS Student Representative to the Board of Directors who worked CRM for several years before continuing her studies.
    Panel members are:
    Myles Gallagher - Museum Administrator for Himdag Ki, the the Tohono O'odham Nation Cultural Center and Museum in Sells, Arizona.
    Mary Prasciunas - Pima Community College (PCC) Instructor and Director of PCC's Centre for Archaeological Field Training.
    Daniel Montoya - Graduate of Pima Community College and the University of Arizona, now a GIS analyst working for MCA Consulting.
    Margaret Hangan - Heritage Program Manager for the Kaibab National Forest who had extensive experience in private sector archaeology before managing public lands.
    Ian Milliken - Cultural Resources and Historic Preservation Division Manager for Pima County preserving sites and educating the public.
