What a breath of fresh air. Dr. Montgomery commands her subject but also shows her passion for it. Sometimes in academia lecturers just "show the facts" but with her I am engaged because I see she shares our sense of wonder about the past. Thank you!

The Rio Grande River was known as Tooh Baʼáadii in Navajo, Kótsoi in Jicarilla Apache, mets'ichi chena in Keresan, Posoge in Tewa, Paslápaane in Tiwa, and Hañapakwa in Towa.
Actually in Dine the Rio Grande is called
Yoo' Toh... referring to the rock art along the river and the symbolism behind the art.

I respect your understanding of the native indigenous people but in due respect there were many great horse cultures on the Eurasian Steppes; such as the Turkic tribes, Scythians, Cimmerians etc. These tribes were both Asiatic and Caucasian and often a pain in the rear for the Eastern Roman Empire or so-called Byzantine Empire. After the conquest of Celtic Gaul the Romans used these tribes as part of their cavalry elite. I love to hear you speak and you're are very knowledgeable. I hope to learn a lot listening to these videos.
