Yucca rostrata planting guide

This simple homemade video was made in mind for who need a little instruction/advice about how to plant a bare root Yucca rostrata. The ideas and methods presented in this video apply to other species of yucca and to agave family as well. I apologize if this is too long, but I hope it helps out a few of you.

How often should you water the Yucca and how much water? Is a drip system okay or should you water by hand? Thank you.

Can these grow in south florida ? We get a lot of rain but soil strains well . Mostly sand .

How deep do the rostrata roots grow? I have a 4" PVC line 24" below the spot I want to plant one. Thanks

Yucca rostrata has a fiberous root system that goes down to about 2'. I have planted near waterlines with no problems. If you ever did have a leak, you would certainly have an extra layer of work for the repair, but I do think it is unlikely to break the pvc pipe.
