Gorgeous gorgeous build, I work at a bmw dealership and see these 335i's alot and always think they have potential. It was awesome for someone to really show what the car can be
I love how you built your 335i. It looks like it was quite journey. I love and hate my 335i. I added a CTS Cold Air Intake, a Evolution Racewerks Lower Intercooler, Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe, a CTS Turbo Inlet, an Engine Crank Seal (A MUST HAVE MOD TO PREVENT CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE), a Crank Bolt Capture, upgraded interior lighting, installed a Mosselman Oil Thermostat, painted and installed M Sport front and rear bumpers, upgraded the Sportline Steering Wheel to M Sport. After a few months I started to learn the reality of owning a BMW. First my Shocks and Absorbers gave out and I went with Bilsteins. Then my oil pan and transmission starting leaking and I had to get the oil pan gasket and transmission gasket replaced which was expensive to do since a mechanic would have to drop the sub frame. Then my valve cover gave out so I had to install a brand new valve cover gasket and new spark plugs. Then my battery died out and I had to buy and code the new battery. Then my oil coolant lines deteriorated so I had to replace the lines and went with aluminum hose ends to prevent this from happening again. Then my vacuum lines connecting to my cold air intake cracked and my Oil Pressure Sensor leaked oil so I had to replace the sensor by removing the intake manifold and solder new connections because BMW updated the sensor connector and no longer makes the older connector. Water pump was intermittently failing and I ended up having to replace it, the water pump thermostat, and the upper radiator (because its plastic ends were crumbling. My car would randomly shut down while I was driving and I found out it was the High and Low Presure Fuel Pump that were failing so I replaced the High Pressure Fuel Pump and installed a Stage 2 Low Pressure Pump. That solved the issue, but my car would sometimes stall while driving. I am currently suspecting it is the Bootmod3 tune that is causing my car to stall. I went back to OEM tune and so far I haven't had that issue. The fact BMW made different sized bolts in hard to reach places throughout the engine made it difficult to remove them and more expensive because you have to get different sized wrenches. I probably stripped like 3 bolts throughout my build and it was a pain to remove them. Overall it was a challenging learning experience and it would have been insanely expensive to build if I had a mechanic do it. Fortunately I had a space to do all this and left the most daunting repairs to a mechanic. I definitely learned a lot from this experience and I can confidently say if you can work on a BMW you can work on any car. Whenever I work on my Mustang it is a walk in the park project that can be done in a few hours in comparison to my BMW. My Alternator went out on my Mustang and all it took was a flat head screwdriver and a 10 mm wrench to remove the 4 bolts connecting the alternator to the belt. I did it all within a hour. On my BMW, this would take maybe a whole day to do and would require multiple kinds of tools.
@@raulmartinez3484 bro cheers to your mustang and BMW, I have a e63 650i that has 135k miles currently and it keeps stalling because of the o2 sensor, Ive had to replace a lot of things in 3 years of owning it, it can be expensive and humbling at the same time. A tip from Sweden. Look at aftermarket headlights and taillights. I changed my taillights on my 3 series from the one you guys have to some smoked facelift LED lights. Huuuuge difference!😍 With love from Sweden🇸🇪
My main tip would be to do your research on whatever you decide to buy. Learn the ins an outs, what makes it tick and what could potentially go wrong, learn how to maintain the car and it'll treat you right. If you want something that's decently tunable and reliable, go the N55 route like this guy's car, you could also do a 4 series 35i or a 5 series 35i if you want something a bit more practical (the 5 series actually have less failure points oddly enough). If you want something very tunable and you have that cash, get a B58, so anything post 2016+, so anywhere from a 3 series 40i to a 5 series 40i (again for something more practical). Good luck on your hunt and maybe we'll see you joining the club soon 😁

Just add like half an inch in the back if you can (spacers or "bad road kit") and some inwards camber then the wheels should fit easily! I myself love some girthy tires with closing in wheel arches (try rolling them for flush fit) for that on and off road fun LOL!!
