My first mma fight I did uchimata with double overhooks. I went for harai ogoshi at first but got the uchi mata, it was one of my dreams to hit uchi mata in MMA
You showed that underhook/head placement grip in a Harai Goshi video you did a while back. You say it's nothing special, but your instruction on grips has probably helped me more than any single technique.
I like your style of teaching. Many people underestimate the no gi application of judo. Solid stuff here. I’ll be going over this with my students tomorrow.
Judo amazing exercise you can see even this tension in the muscles holding a position for teaching 💪 isometrics make some serious conditioning for fighting! Kind of like when sensei used to joke me so hard in demos!! You get really comfortable in those areas and it pays off later in your career.
Great vid. I have been working a bunch of nogi throws in my bjj privates lately. Over the past 6 months or so, I have found myself gravitating towards some very similar things. I appreciate you showing this stuff in addition to all of your great stuff with the gi. You pointed out some very nice details that I hadn't considered. Thanks again!
Another awesome video - I've been practicing with the local high school wrestling team to work on my no-gi game and have been trying to figure out how to set up my judo. I plan on using this tonight :)
You know, it donned on me right after posting a comment about Lara's revenge on a previous video: I bet she's really the sensei and teaches Shintaro all of this beforehand... he's just the one who shows us! Still, we can't wait to see him as uke =)
it'd be cool to see your wife try at the end too! if she's already has the move down then awesome, if she doesn't, it'd be to watch you troubleshoot as well
Another awesome vid. Is there already a vid on the sequence you briefly mention @1:56? Ie fake tai otoshi into ko uchi, osoto etc. I've been looking to build a decision tree for my left vs right stance and that seems like a great place to start.
Feels like Shintaro is a cool professional! So gently and neatly take a grip and throw your wife on the floor - you need to have fantastic control over your body!)))
When executing that throw I find it hard to control the far wrist when the wrist is sweaty. Is it ok, or advisable, to execute the throw with a collar tie and a under hook?
Thanks for sharing this system! Question: I'm usually much taller than my opponents (I'm 6'5), and find it difficult to establish a strong underhook - I almost feel like I'm putting myself in a shoulderlock. Any recommendations for the taller player in this scenario?
Waiting for the whole series on No Gi.
Yes!
Is it out right now ? Higashi is boss

Nice
That's called a Salto throw brother, it's a technique from Greco, good job. My base is in judo, Greco background as well.
good job
@@TcBalkom definitely wasnt a salto hut same grips, I do greco as well
I think the public has spoken. Time for Shintaro to be uke.
HMMMMMMMMM
Hahahaha
Uke?
@@Vvrroommm uke is the person being thrown. So he keeps throwing her, and it's about time she threw him.
@@joelwilliamson3322It’s also shipping (fandom) slang for the person who receives (sexually).
No matter how many times a man uchimatas his wife, shes always right
She’s always right, but that’s always funny
Wise words to live by if one wants to live to an old age!
Oh!!
I'm new here. Is she his mrs?
Kristof B dude this whole time I assumed it was his daughter lmao.
Massive respect for you and your wife for still giving ,love the no gi stuff keep it coming respect again!!!
Much appreciated
Bro, I'm waiting for Lara's Revenge video! (Forgive me if I misspelled Her name)
Yesss
The dominant armhook disabling the opponent opens up various attack options. Nice one

iim 15 years into mma and i have this flood of appreciation for judo now man its just a beautiful art im enjoying the tech oss

Man this COVID virus. I miss doing judo so much I’ve started frequenting judo videos a whole lot more.
This is a great move to use in wrestling.
Her face at the beginning was priceless!
I love the no gi versions, thanks!!
Great combos, great details, and thank you for the BJJ considerations!
Love judo, but some of it can be compromising if it doesn't go your way.
The video I have been waiting for!!! Thank you so much!
I got excited I thought Lara was going to suplex you. Lol 🤼
She has learned to fall really well. I learned a lot from this video. Thank you

Thank you. Very solid chain, well explained. Awesome stuff.
Thanks for another great video!💜💜💜
Laura and you are the best at explaining judo and grappling!
Well damn, just found my new favorite channel
These are good instructionals and hes a tough guy. I subscribed.
Very nice grip. Congratulations
Any plans for no-gi judo instruction DVD?
Thank you 🙏 9/2024
Awesome technique! Thank you!
This is an EXCELLENT video.
Great video! I was traning on my uchimata before covid-19 and now I know a great combination: uchi mata to ankle pick. Thank you a lot
Glad it was helpful!
When I got the underhook and when I got the judo positions my opponent escapes his hip from my hip and I can't throw him. What can I do?
You know, it donned on me right after posting a comment about Lara's revenge on a previous video: I bet she's really the sensei and teaches Shintaro all of this beforehand... he's just the one who shows us! Still, we can't wait to see him as uke =)
Beautiful hoochie mama 👊🏽👩🏻
Alway awesome thank you
great video as always sir. Thanks a lot
Let’s go shintaro u legend
Nice job Shintaro

Good job 👍🌹🌹🌹
Great extra details ... much less common than uchi ankle pick!
Im very tall. Should I try to get the under hook or go with a over hook? Could you teach us some over hook no gi moves?
Amazing videos 🙌🏽
your no gi tenhnuque is very good

Damn brotha you are a bad ass 🔥🔥🔥
this is honestly way too good for wrestling
No GI Judo is surreal.
Brilliant!
Damn I wish I can go to your school!
Feels like Shintaro is a cool professional!

Love this :) :) :)
thanks for the teaching
Bravi entrambi e interessante. ( pensavo che tante tecniche senza Judogi non si potessero fare).
Importante controllare bene la caduta di uke .
oss thank you sensei
I love it

Grip around the head, or don’t use it due to your size, perhaps consider sweeps and tai otoshi
Very nice
1:50 RvL back take, Tani otoshi, Tai otoshi, osoto, ouchi, kouchi/ankle pick, harai, uchimata, sasae
nice
This is the NoGi Leg Uchimata.
Does the NoGi Hip Uchimata have a deeper entry?
Yes for sure.
Is there a counter available when reaching for the ankle?
Thanks.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Is it the same principles with an overbook???
Overhook
Thanks
I’m back. Still good
Could you imagine doing this on concrete? Goodnight! LOL
💪
People underestimate all the standing up they’re gonna have to do when practicing judo
This guy reminds me of Han from Tokyo Drift
I think she has a crush on u ^^~
They have a child together lol. Though they are not together anymore.

This helped me alot because I used this move to beat my friend named Jordan
Poor girl yoo be gentle
He was. Do you see how he throws the dudes lmao.
Jon jones had problems with this
It is impossible.
