  • Here is the perfect recipe for Soraikkai Kootu. In south Indian side dishes, there is a special place for kootu varieties. Because we use less oil in this, we'll use the mix of dal and coconut and then some healthy ingredients. People will say the kootu from marriage functions are fantastic.     Here are the ingredients for this Suraikai Kootu/ Soraikkai kootu
    Soraikkai (Bottle Gourd) - 1 no
    Oil - 1 tbsp
    Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
    Urad dhal - 1 tsp
    Bengal Gram Dal - 1 tsp
    Cumin seeds - 1 /2 tsp
    Green chilli - 2 nos
    Curry leaves - 1 string
    Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp
    Tomato - 2 nos
    Salt - as per taste
    Moong dal - 2 tbsp
    Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
    Asafoetida powder - a pinch
    Red chilli Round - 2 nos
