Thank you. I'm tired of hearing these podcasts talking about coaching changes and all that BS. This was 1 game with a lot of teachable moments and shows the team they cannot let up on the process. I trust Rhule and he will get this cleaned up. We where projected as an 7-5/8-4 team and that is still very achievable.
They were a ranked team. It was a lesson for Nebraska to learn from and they will grow from it. We have time to come back up. Hey guys this is his first college games.
@@kathrynnard8059 for me 8 wins was the goal coming into the year and that’s still in play. Lost to a good team and DR just confirmed he can move the ball against good defenses. Bright future !
I'm a Husker, I don't mind the loss, I understand ball.. this team is on its way up, no doubt. Our fans are great, but... another don't have perspective. This is an awesome time for this program
the biggest thing for me is people are generally completely over reacting to this loss, its like every one was so amped for this season they forgot that this is still yr 2 w this staff, and this team is definitely the best team nebraska has had since 2019
They had a missed pass in the end zone which could’ve been caught had it but he wasn’t on target. They had a reception should’ve been called a touchdown but they called it an interception. They missed a field goal and they had 84 yards of penalty. I think Nebraska just didn’t do that bad I don’t know why they’re getting criticized. They work those mistakes out and I think they’ve got a lot of opportunity ahead of them
Here are couple of takeaways from a die hard huskers fans: 1) IL's passing game is very very good, NE's secondary is useless. 2) IL's rushing game is better than NE in this game. 3) NE special team sucks. 4) NE defense didn't show up, I think there were too much hype on Huskers and they did not prepare good enough when they facing some adversaries. 5) Dylan is very good, NE passing is good. OL needs to take a good rest. With that being said, I predict NE finishing 8-4 this season. Losing to Indiana, Ohio State and USC.
Even myself who was super disappointed would never want to run Matt Rhule out. Even though it felt way too fimiliar. I know it’s different now. Go Big Red!
I’m glad we made amends with Frank but we still need to make amends with Bo Pelini… our last overtime win and FIRST DOWN was his final game at Nebraska vs Iowa 2014… I’m half kidding but I do also think Frank wasn’t the only one done dirty. Regardless we have a good one in Matt and we have faith.
This isn't a head scratcher, our offensive line is terrible and if you've watched the On-line in the first 3 games, you wouldn't have been surprised. Defensive line was suspect last week as well. They got pushed around by an FCS line last week. That's #1 problem. #2 we knew going into the season the secondary would be a question mark. The only place we've improved since last year is QB and wide receiver
@@logandonatelle192 not really. Casuals just look at a 40-7 win and think everything's just fine. Northern Iowa pushed us up and down the field. Even against UTEP we had particular offensive linemen getting beat on the majority of plays. We won the first three games on the strength of our talent at the "skilled" positions. I'm not 100% on the defensive line, but with the exception of Micah Mazzcua, we haven't improved anywhere along the offensive line
This loss isn't on Dylan. He can't play defense or kick field goals. The veterans especially on defense let the team down. Rhule and White were outcoached as well.
No. There are major issues. No edge rushing, no reliable running game against Illinois, Raiola holding the ball and taking too many hits, top cornerback out, top 2 left tackles out...

Bret Bielema has owned Nebraska since he was at Wisconsin. Our schedule is tougher than we know Rutgers, Iowa, and Indiana look good. UCLA looked improved against LSU and Michigan State should have beaten Michigan State
I honestly thought that they would just change places with Illinoise but voters are afraid to rank Nebraska after the way things have been since they fired Frank Solich.

Did you watch said overtime? You honestly think Nebraska is a top 25 team? They got spanked in OT on their home field. They looked tired and mentally weak. Way too much Kool aid being consumed.
So it’s been a long term problem and I’m sure husker fans are tired of hearing it but clean up the dumb penalties. Winning is a culture and this program has been void of that culture for over a decade. They have more talent than in past years now they need to clean up things and learn to win close games.
Gut punch yet again. I went to a game for the first time in 18 or so years, I stopped going because I only experienced loss in that stadium. And I thought, hey it’s the 400th sellout. We have Raiola. We will break my curse and it’ll be a fun experience. Instead it was just the same thing I’ve had to endure time and time again. Different coach. Same result. Makes me sick. Keep losing close games, keep losing to ranked teams.
They are obviously not in good shape and so far every game by the middle of the 3rd quarter the whole team looks gassed and need a nap. Conditioning drills are the only fix for this problem. If this is not fixed, I see 4-8 and no bowl game.
@@A_Rare_STD there were on the verge of beating Illinois. Outcoached they had the fing game. Coaches squandered it away like frost would have. They. Will still win more than 7-8 but could be 10 with excellent coaching
That touchdown turned into an interception was a touchdown. The reciever had two hands on the ball showing control when he crossed the goal line, anything after that is irrelevant. If they had been in the field of play it would be an interception but they weren't. The ball didn't come loose before the goal line. I wonder when the Big 10 refs will ever call a proper game for the Cornhuskers or do they just hate NU that much. If this was Ohio St it would have remained a touchdown like it should have. Does anyone know how many bad calls on NU have cost NU the game? It's been a hell of a lot of games the refs determined the winner and it never goes Nebraska's way. If that touchdown had remained a TD there would have been no OT and Nebraska would be 4-0.
