I met three foreign exchange students from Italy! Their names were Lorenzo, Marta, and Edoardo. I also have Italian heritage inside of me. Sicilian. I hope she has a great time here in the United States!

this is so awesome you guys seem like such good host parents and she seems like the sweetest girl ever! I hope she is loving the USA and that it is everything that she hoped it would be. My longterm boyfriends family is hosting a girl from Italy soon and I can’t wait for her to come. i’m a little older than her and won’t be going to school with her but she’s going to my alma mater and I just want her to have the best experience she can possibly have! It would be super helpful if maybe you could ask her a few questions about what helped her acclimate to the USA the best and what I should get ours in a little gift basket! His family will be getting most like room stuff and bathroom stuff but what kind of little gifts should I get her. Sorry if that’s a lot I just want her to feel comfortable and i’m the closest to her age of everyone that will be around her the most and I want her to feel excited and for her to know she can reach out to me even while I am at college if she needs anything!
oh that’s so cool! i know y’all will have the best time! definitely invite her to do fun things at the beginning bc making friends right away is hard. also they don’t bring much when they come over bc they can’t fit much more than clothes in their luggage for 10 months. y’all will have a blast! lmk if you have any other questions! 🥰
