There is also ground briefing costs. Every time before you fly and after your flight, you have to brief about how flight will go and how it was, what you can expect during the flight, what you have to learn, what you will do and how you did etc. It is usually takes 30-60min and costs about 75cad an hour. Unfortunately, school doesn’t mention that costs on their fee infos. Also, these flight hours just requirements which you have to collect at least. In reality, you will do 30-40% more hours than that due to weather, your ability, and busy airports. Finally, we should consider our costs be at least 30-40% more than the costs school provided.

Yes that is the future. Many helicopter jobs have been taken over by drones so I see this job will cease to exist in the future but will take a while untill that happens I believe

What is the total cost if someone wants to fly commecial planes in canada. Only cpl is enough or Type rating also needed or anything and if that person is from India overall cost.
To give you perspective....in 2008 when I got my PPL, covering ALL expenses with loan paid off quickly and 80 hours I paid $17000.....back when 172's cost $135/hr. Why 80 hours? because of weather cancellations and lot's of extra, bonus content.
