- "Welcome to the 70's" is Part 1 in The Time Travel Series. A series of student showcases that I put on for all the friends and family of my students. They spent months preparing their songs and a presentation on their artist and year of the 70's that they'll be representing.
This is Boe Fines. He'll be performing Don't Fear the Reaper with the band Ancient Sun and Layla Brisbois.

They are Fantastic! That person playing lead guitar is way- ahead of his time on that guitar… The entire band has it mastered. Wonderful! Truthfully, That blew me away …. BOC would be proud!

The young man on guitar is fantastic! They're all very good! Wish we'd been there to support them! When my kid's were in high school, my husband and myself would go to what they called 'Coffee House.' This is what it was but in the cafeteria. Nothing makes us happier than seeing youth into music! Way to jam guy's! Will be keeping up with you serie's :) Awesome!

I'm 14 at the time of writing this comment and I have made a playlist of 300 old songs with a few new ones but all are awesome
300 might seem a less for people but get that here in India nobody plays these songs, everything is either Bollywood or English pop or some Latino song
Only a few radio stations play these classics at specific hours of the day and we miss most of them
So I come across them by myself and then I play them on my Strat
Then I record lead, rhythm, vocals and a few basslines that I play on my Strat and I mix all of them with a backing track
If my kids ever listen to pop and say that it is way better than this stuff, I'll make them go through a ear surgery and take out time to teach them a few 'classic' instruments

Great cover! It's been documented that Christopher Walkin feels the snl skit featuring this song "ruined his life." The skit has also tainted the song in "cover world" and it is far too often judged by the amount of a certain "bovine" named bell. What a shame. This song is so much more than that - lyrically and musically. I also don't understand how such a quality cover can have less than 100 likes, and less than 2000 views.
I completely agree with what you mean. The song is amazing as it is and your explanation nails everything. But I just.. I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.
