Thank you, I think we've gotten to a point where people believe that stories shouldn't handle uncomfortable topics and I disagree because art is a reflection of human experience and that experience can be traumatic and uncomfortable. And seeing that experience be navigated through a controlled lense could help victims experiencing the same traumas
I completely agree man, traumatic events, graphic details can be used to tell amazing introspective and reflective stories that we need in our media. Although I think many media like a Euphoria or like even like Synder's Watchmen, can use graphic material and not really explore it in interesting ways while still displaying it in a light that honestly idolizes it, I think that as long as people can acknowledge the artists that do and don't use that material in a way that progresses conversations, then we should be fine as students of art. Great Video as well btw, always feel inspired when I see your videos & good shii on the Augie video too
i think the biggest thing for me is when the uncomfortable stuff shown actually serves a purpose or not. as uncomfortable it is to see things like what Mei Mei was doin and all that fuck-shit, it shows how manipulative and disgusting she is as a person. not only that, it shows how she managed to get as far as she did in the darkness of Jujutsu society. its a subtle detail, but it works. compare that to any media where use of such touchy subjects only does so to just shock people and be like “yeah thats bad, isnt it?”. that kind of stuff comes off as not only gross but also doesn’t give the subject any justice.
Lots of technical difficulties with this video. None of the sound effects made it through the render.

Art is a reflection of the world, and the artist's experience.
