One improvement that that I noticed was when David would fight his way out of the clinch. That drained Andrade because he could not hold for air. David learned from the Plant fight, where there was a lot of holding, he can't give guys breaks when they're hurt.

@richardespinoza9978 Not really. Caleb was out boxing Canelo for the first half of the fight, just like he did against David. Caleb just isn't a 12 round fighter. Makes you realize how great Money Mayweather was. He was able to keep the same pace for 12 rounds against top flight competition without missing a beat.

Now I do think Benavidez will win if they ever meet but I don’t think Canelo will duck David like many on the panel have said. It’s important to note that Canelo predicted Benavidez would knockout Andrade so with that said the result of this fight is not going to somehow spook Canelo as he already knew and predicted the outcome. Contrary to popular belief I think we will eventually get that fight and it will be a barn burner when it does come. I have David winning but I do believe Canelo is going to give him his hardest test to date. No doubt about it. You can say what you want but Canelo has one of the best chins in the business. He has never been down. We can’t say the same about David. That fight will be a classic example of an unstoppable force vs an immovable object.

Canelo is biding his time because he really wants bivol. But let's say, he does fight benavidez? They fight at 168 and again at 175 depending on how the fight went at 168. That determines if bivol or beterbiev are in the mix sooner rather than later.
Canelo has to fight David next and there is no other way out but get stripped or retire. David said he will fight Canelo, Bivol and Beterbiev in a row. David will beat Canelo and Bivol next year and fight Beterbiev the next year if everything goes right. Canelo can not fight Bivol and could never beat him, David smashes Bivol regularly in sparring.
And when David Benavidez had gone down to the canvas on his buttocks was only for a split second and got right up. He never staggered nor got hurt almost looked like a push back and fell off balanced. Benavidez dominated the whole fight that's why he won the.fight. And in the rematch, David showed him who was boss, by knocking him out. ☺️👍🏼

"Mexicans love warriors"... No truer statement has ever been made describing the types of fighters that Mexican fight fans love! There's a reason why people still talk about Morales v Barrera...cuz they went to war! Tim making the statement about Chavez senior being the most beloved Mexican fighter is also on point! I've never seen that grit in Canelo to be carried out on his shield. He avoided GGG for years and now he's doing the same thing to Benavidez...time to shit or get off the pot!
That carried out like a shield comment is a straight up casual/hater take. Canelo in most fights is the one coming forward and the more committed power puncher. However, opponents are typically reluctant to open up when he gets his offense going because of his power and skillset. Fighters have the world to gain by beating Canelo but usually give the most tentative performances in their careers. Meanwhile, Canelo actually took Plant out and had no problem cutting off the ring and chopping him down. It was Benavidez who was getting outpointed for the first half of the fight and had his workrate and aggression brought down because of Plant's counters even though he's not even a big puncher. Benavidez only started to get going after Plant started gassing and even then he couldn't take him out and was loading too much on single winging shots.
And the GGG fight got made within a year with GGG as the favorite in the first two including the rematch when Canelo beat him at his own game. Saying he ducked a fighter that he faced 3 times just further proves Canelo haters are like broken records, they claim he's avoiding this guy or that and every time he fights them, they turn around and whine even more.

I would say canelo vs ggg 2 is the only time canelo showed that grit. He pushed ggg back and beat en at his own game. I’m Mexican but my fav canelo is he skilled one. Benavidez is exceptional in his ability to adapt and adjust his style per fight, especially in the defensive sense. Regarding him beating (decision) or Knocking out Canelo who has the deadly combination of a solid “chin” and “educated defense” is low on the probablilty scale.
Not doubt Benavidez has the potential to upset Canelo, I just thinks it’s unlikely givin Canelos boxing attributes and the favoritism of the judges.

Canelo is a extremely humble guy , who knows what it is to sell gum in the street , who understands what it means to win and lose, who gives the most honest answers to questions the media imposes trying to get him to go in this direction or that direction , Canelo has impressed me learning English to reach out to more fans and better himself as a human being, and when asked questions about he said she said , Canelo briefly answers , I don’t know about that, I don’t like talking about those things , if the time is right we will see in the ring , , and that’s it , I watched one interview with Canelo in which he was training for a fight and in the week or weeks before the fight his brother was kidnapped by the cartels, knowing , he’s rich , and he can pay what they were asking , but at the same time you have to draw a line , and let them know, this isn’t going to happen all the time, who knows how much he had to pay , but that he did it and I’m sure those guy would try it again , with that being said , I think Bivol would be a good fight for Benavides although it a weight class above, and knowing Canelo tried it lost and still here , doesn’t in any way say he’s ducking or ever had, and yes he’s got some breaks on some score cards , you can’t blame him for that , it is what it is he has a couple losses and he has come along way for a 33 year old man. This fight is 50/50 in 2024. After that, I will favor Benavidez. It's insane to say Benavidez will run through Canelo when he didn't even run through Plant until the later rounds (one could say).

Plant ain't no joke. People forget how Plant made Canelo miss so many times, made him look dumb in many instances. Canelo laned that big punch and Plant couldn't recover. It will be interesting to see if Benavidez can take Canelo big punches.
@@christiansoldier77 Canelo doesn't have to throw a lot of punches to tame a fighters aggression. He gets it done with well placed power shots and counters when they open up. Plant who's not even a big puncher brought down Benavidez's aggression and workrate with his counters.
@@maforo85 Canelo methodically broke him down. Plant was practically ready to call a truce earlier in the fight because he could see the inevitable coming lol. And I have noticed that Benavidez looks bothered and his momentum is stopped when he gets tagged. So yeah, there are still question marks about how his chin will hold up especially against Canelo who's a bigger puncher than he ever faced combined with his skills. Meanwhile Canelo's chin is certified titanium.
