Michael Hampton, you are the professor who supports students the most or helps them with free things. I really thank you for your beautiful compliment on behalf of me and all those who benefited from your lessons. May you always be well, Hampton.
When you're studying from photo references of figures, are you thinking of where the horizon line is when constructing the boxes? Is this something we should consider when breaking down/studying these photos?
Could you do a video of you taking the end result of this video and adding muscles and skin to it? I've been trying to learn from your book and having some video to go along with the text would be really helpful,

Michael is the goat when it comes to construction and anatomy. Naturally gifted at teaching others too. What a legend!
Your book is my anatomical Bible. I always refer to it when I get confused about figure drawing. Thank you!
This really ties everything together nicely! Thanks!

I don't. I mostly focus on positioning 1 or 2pt perspective boxes minus vanishing pts.
@@stevenmichaelhampton Thank you so much! I've been trying to wrap my head around this concept for a bit, and this cleared up a lot of my confusion

really good video, if i want to check if my boxes are in perspective, i just extend their lines to see if they are in the same point?
I'm not actually using vanishing points for most. I always double check that my lines moving in the same direction stay parallel instead.
Thanks
Oh yeah. The good stuff. 😂
I have a question for you, Michael. Do you have anatomy books other than “Shape, Design and Invention”?
No, just the one at the moment. I'll have a new book on Gesture out early next year though :)
@@stevenmichaelhampton Such wonderful news instilled in me a feeling of indescribable joy +It will be the best way to start the new year next year...

hey Michael! so, as I understand it (as a beginner) skeleton knowledge is required to go from gesture to construction, right?
I wouldn't say its required but I certainly would use the skeleton to understand construction.
@ sounds like a plan! Thank you :)
All this information comes from your book?
Book or proko classes
