I want to be an immigration or human rights lawyer. But realistically I want to be a JAG officer first and then create my own practice for the topics stated above.
Studying for my ged at age 24 I’ll be graduating this year. I want to study law. History is very interesting to me. Also knowing my rights. Honestly I’ve had an amazing public defender, I’ve also seen people have not so great ones. I always wished someone could have the same experience as mine. It would be so rewarding to give some one the opportunity my lawyer gave me.
ever since i could speak, people have told me that i’d make a great attorney. i feel like the argumentative and logic based side of law would be perfect for me! a job where i could research, compile data and evidence, and argue would be the absolute dream! when i grow up i’m either gonna be a sleazy ambulance chaser (for funzies yknow?) or a defense attorney

I feel this. I went through a paralegal program that focused on litigation but now I work in-house for a commercial development company. My schooling definitely didn't help in that regard!
I feel law school is meant to give you a broad perspective of what your options are when deciding on what you want to practice. So they kinda cover the basics of most things will be practiced as, anyone agree?
I would say first be sure that this is the path you want to go down. Also, not being afraid to lean on your support system. Prepare yourself and the people around you for this new journey. Take breaks, lean on your faith (if you're religious) and plan things out and be as organized as you can. Hope that helps. Believe in yourself! You've got this!

If you have a friend who is a lawyer and want advice from that friend, offer something. Anything! Taking them out to lunch, offering some sort of service in return. One friend of mine offered to paint a picture of my cat if I helped her with a small legal issue. I appreciated it and we were both happy to be able to help the other. There is liability with every question lawyers answers and I don't think people understand that either. The question that always makes me cringe and brace is: "Can I ask you a question?" I know that they're going to ask a legal question and then it puts me in this crappy position of having to either take the liability if I give a wrong answer (which often means I need to do research to make sure I'm giving the right answer) or I look like a jerk and say I don't offer legal advice outside of work. So if you do have a friend who is a lawyer and want to ask a question, it goes a long way to offer a little something in return so that the friend doesn't feel taken advantage of. The only reason that friend has that answer is through years of hard work and stress.
Can you do a video on the different types of law? Thankyou! Coz I really want to take law.
Hello, watching your video made me more comfortable and if you don't mind can you give me some tips.
I'm 13 and really know nothing about being a lawyer (I did watch legally Blond though 😅) and recently I have been thinking about being a lawyer so I'm doing some research to figure out if it's the right path for me!
Edit: I want to become a lawyer but I'm too lazy lol. I won't have money for college and I just want to be a housewife. 😃 It's not the right path for me, but it was fun to think about!
Thank you! I loved your video and it was so helpful!

I am currently in college rn aspiring to be a lawyer could you do a video on the type of person you have to be in order to maintain the life of a lawyer? also about the path you went on to achieve your success? Love this video btw 💕
Yes, I can. Adding it to my video ideas list.
I’m in law school now & just seeking motivation.
