Trevor , you did it again buddy ! It’s John , the former PGA Instructor that you responded to on a previous video on the shoulders . Arm structure at address , biceps curl ! In my own swing , I have always tried to bend and let the arms hang , I need to setup with the biceps curl and the arm swing and shoulder turn are automatically working together ! Thanks, John
Great to hear from you! Thanks for the comment and feedback! I everything is helping out and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
What a ridiculously simple way to feel how to rotate and keep on your path! Thanks for keeping it simple so we can understand the basics first and technical jargon later. Saving this one for future playbacks for sure!
No matter what the video pertains to I always learn a swing fundamental from TJ that is a basic fundamental to performance of a playable golf swing…and amazingly…key fundamentals appear in every video…consistency in explaining these seemingly simple concepts leading to an understanding of the elusive good golf swing is the hallmark of a really good teacher…it’s definitely a physical and intellectual challenge to absorb the information and then put it into the golf swing….a challenge to both students and TJ. TJ has a great passion for teaching and it shows in every video….and that’s awesome.
Thank you so much for this! Means the world to me reading things like this! Appreciate all the feedback and support here! Please do let me know if you ever need anything! 🙏🙏🙏
Hi Trevor, found you on UA-cam a month ago and now you’re my ‘go to guy’ for golf lessons. Love what you do, and I hope you get all the success you deserve. Keep up the great work. Daz, in rainy England 🏴

There's that short stick again. Only the second video I have seen on this channel and I am fascinated by how great that short stick is for immediate feedback.
There are a lot of uses we can use that short alignment stick for on both arms in all complete honesty. We’ll have some more videos for you all in the future!
Love it, love it ! I’m cutting my alignment. Early on in my attempt to learn the swing I read many times about the importance of the first foot or so to begin the backswing. Do you concur? Thanks again, Trevor.
Thank you so much! I would say the takeaway is important still but in terms of actual positions we discuss in the golf swing, I’d say it is the LEAST relevant position. Impact (#1), Setup (#2), Post Impact (#3), and I reverse engineer it from there. The top of the swing is big spot as well! Thanks again! TS
i'm one of the guys that pull the humorus pass the shirt seam and suck the elbow way back. i never realized i was doing it until i saw it on a video, very ugly. i've been working on improving that and this is gonna help. thnx.
What’s up Trevor? Are you suggesting-at setup-that your elbow pits are facing directly straight out from your body? Or not that extreme? More like 45 degrees inward? Thank you 🙏🏻
I’d always prefer to see the elbows closer to together w/ elbow pits more up! This helps to lock the arms in more naturally and can help to maintain more of a constant radius
great video!!!! any tips? I have a tendency to lift the club above the plane, and at the same time unfortunately, I have a tendency to pull my left elbow in behind my left side (I'm left handed).. even though I am trying the bring the clubhead back like you show here, try to keep my left elbow at 90 degrees and in front of my body... any advice would be appreciated!!
Make sure the trail shoulder is externally rotated and stays that way (elbow up)! That’ll help you create some support against that so the arms can plane out better!
do I rotate the trail shoulder externally and have the elbow up and IN LINE with my shoulders, or just feel the elbow up and at 90 degrees and feel my right arm on plane? thx again for the tips!!!!
Travis, in your 1st video on early extension you talked about bending from just under your ribcage. I feel like I need to feel like my pelvis is tilted up into my sternum, is that the right feel? I know when I bend over and tuck my pelvis, it feels weird but I noticed it takes a lot of pressure off my lower back. Is that what we're going for? Thanks
If my downswing comes in to out at impact, is it still important that my backswing is steeper than the downswing? Why, in that case. Right now I do my backswing slightly under the plane and the downswing is significantly steeper but still 2-3 degrees from the inside.
My best piece of advice to you or anyone, is don’t fix what’s working. If that feel and move works for you and gives you the ball flight and pattern you like, keep doing it! What I am saying in this vid is not a must for all today. Just exposing. Cause and effect!
At the very top of the swing isn’t the right elbow supposed to leave the rib cage to maintain the 90 degree angle so that width is maintained? I noticed that your swing is abbreviated.
I wouldn’t disagree with what you are saying all! The trail arm can work up where the humerus is parallel to the ground (or can stay a bit lower). Also depends on how much you are trying to turn in the backswing. This for me was closer to a 3/4 length motion I’d say. Hope this helps and thanks for the comment!

So if you can't use an alignment rod, what would you recommend using? Will a ruler work?
A ruler works great or a pointer stick as well you can get on Amazon!

That is exactly what we are going for w/ taking pressure off of the back!

@@tsgolf Thanks! Is steep to shallow a recipe for an increased chance of creating more lag?

These videos slap
I’ll take it as SLAP means good? Haha
I have a complaint, just one video per week 🤪 ⛳️🔝
Haha! Thank you! There might be a potential of adding more of it seems fit and I get enough requests. Appreciate the feedback! 🙏🙏🙏
