Very nice tip. The diamond pattern is impressive. Even in kits with no headliner, this is much cleaner and nicer than leaving it blank.

Really nice use of EVA foam and great tutorial. I love the use of the saw for stitching.
To enhance the “button look,” consider adding nail art “caviar” or half-round beads that are 1mm or smaller. Nail art pieces can make great miniature embellishments. A 1mm hole punch on cardstock may also produce rounds that look like tiny buttons. If you’re painting anyway, just glue them on ahead.

Cool! Lots better than simply painting a plain roof .... I think, no matter whether I foam up the rest of the interior, a foam headliner will be a must now, in cars that have a headliner (many are simple painted metal from the factory)!
On the diamond pattern (this is the third video in a row on this method), I'd think you could go in and put a daub of paint in the centers to simulate a small stud - chrome or contrasting color..

I try to get a foam color that matches or is close to the color I am looking for, then if I need to I use createx paint to get it to the exact color. I am sure many other paints would work well also. Thanks 👍
