That is the whole mythos though. Once you get TO Cthulhu it is too late, the whole lore and most games are about avoiding / dreading the coming of him. I guess there is Study in Emerald which is post arrival. Never read that story.

@@Alluvian567 Sorry, but that's not accurate, about the Mythos. Cthulhu is only a priest of the great old ones. He is not even close to the most powerful. He is, however the most famous. That is because he has a great short story and a cool, yet not confusing appearance.

Hi, one question. If I am playing with the detective and one of the old ones (Yig) is being awakened. Do I need to use 5 cards to seal a gate instead of 4 (the special ability of the detective is to use 4 clues to seal a gate)? This is because Yig states "Sealing gates requires 1 additional clue card from a connected town".

I can tell what character card it is but all four players choose not to have that character. Said character most feel pretty sad or maybe happy running away from Cthulhu can't be fun.
