STRIPED BASS fishing in MARCH on the Raritan Bay

- This Video shows some of the fish that we caught on this quick afternoon trip on 3/27. We started by casting artificial shads and then netted some bunker to try some live living. Both we effective and we landed over 20 Bass to 30 pounds. Just a fun trip as we are currently shut down for charters due to COVID-19 Virus. Dude nice trip! We were out on the 26th and totally crushed them! We had 30 to 40 fish and 10 or more were in the 25 to 30 pound class. Most were over 30". Biggest was 41 or 42". Unbelievable spring! We crushed them the week before but they were smaller. The run started early this year!
And all jigging, no trolling.

How bout using some heavier gear with these big fish? It may be fun (if your a newbie) for you but a bass fought to exhaustion is the reason why we have C&R mortality rates. Thanks
