If you want to play the more compact games choose an army you like, follow a paint guide(or just go for it up to you) then learn by playing with friends. If you’d rather big 40K set a lesser point limit to make it cheaper for you and your group and do the same, play, learn and have fun 👍
When I first started my buddy and I were using paper circles with unit names written on them. Between wahapedia and battle scribe the game doesn't have to cost anything.

if you are curioous about dmg with full pellet meter. make a beast claws run with beast rune from Laurence (u will need to edit save somehow but i never does it, i wanna do this run soon and i decided that i will do it on minimal stats ng+1on my bl4 character, also uprgrades i would do how it would normaly progress :D) Not only moveset is changing a lot (dual claws jump atack is my favourite and most badass move ever) but also 1 hand claw does build beasthood just for smacking pellets not needed here :D
Fun Fact: Eileen is a Skill Build while Alfred is a Strength Build. You should also do a Vitality and Endurance only runs, why? You need to do all the stats, the vitality one should be one of the easiest (as long as you use something with bad scaling) same with endurance. Also, you should not have killed Eileen, if you finished her questline you would’ve gotten one of the best runes for build all about speed.

@@stephenantonsson_II I tested that in my Bloodborn nothing run. Being locked on doesn't change anything. I still had issues with getting viscerals with BSB. Lock on does not guarantee it. You can go check out the vods if you don't believe me

I had issues every round fighting her and if you watch the vod you will see I was right behind her locked on and it wouldn't work. This isn't just for bsb this is with all bosses especially the bigger ones like Amelia and Ludwig (phase1). It's cool that you don't have issues but just bc you don't doesn't mean it doesn't happen to others. I never broken a bone while falling off my bike but it doesn't mean others haven't

I'm using the Threaded Cane and it's fun as hell, no clue why people call it bad. However, in preparation for my next runs, I wanted you to pick what weapon I'll use in ng+ (I'm not doing Kos Parasite, and if I do, I will be getting perfect gems from chalice) because, I thought it'd be more interesting than spinning a wheel or going by the same tierlist

Yeah, the shaman daggers or something like that. I ended up using the ones I had on the hunters in the underground pit, so I wouldn't get one shot by them when farming the chunks
Hey, if you’re looking to get into 40K, find a faction you like more than the rest visually and learn about them first. That’s what I did and I’m a die hard 40K fan now. Adding an edit to say, check out Adeptus Ridiculous if you haven’t already. Most of my knowledge comes from those fine gentlemen.
I demonstrated it in my bloodtinge run where I literally stun locked lady maria to death and killed orphan before he could transform. You can do this with all humanoid bosses.
I would ask you this my bro. Why don't you use the chalice dungeons in this runs so you can find some endgame weapons? Like in this skill run you could find a Lost or Uncanny Burial Blade as early as after beating BSB . So you can have a larger arsenal earlier. And I do not count it as cheating because it is literally put in the game and there is no exploit or hack. You just put the chalice glyph open a chest and boom

Kind of a shame not to parry in skill runs, the increased visceral damage is one of my favorite things about skill builds
I still took advantage of backstabs and breaks, but I didn't want to stun lock some bosses to death with the gun
