I remember listening to the final innings of this on the radio, we didn’t have cable in our house yet. The next night’s ending was on free tv along with the regularly scheduled game. I hope someone will someday post the full game and the Cubs-Dodgers 21 inning game from 1982 that ended with Burt Hooton and Fernando Valenzuela playing in the outfield.
They also didn't mention that Tom Seaver was credited with the win in relief, and also was credited with a second win that day when the regular scheduled game was played after the extra inning game was completed.
Anyone know where I can find the music in the background? Work as a cameraman/video vault operator at my local ball club and would love to use it for highlights. Yesterday, we had a game go 14 innings and 4 1/2 hours long. Longest game I've ever recorded. Went home and slept for 13 hours straight afterwards.
My uncle played in that game. He holds the record for most hits in a single game by a non starting player
Oh the 80s synths... gotta love them!
They didn't mention that Floyd Bannister, who started 2 days before, had a chance to win it at the plate with a runner on 2nd in the 24th inning.
I love old school comedy, this whole video is a riot.
I kept a scoresheet of this game and as I recall Tom Seaver was the winning pitcher And he pitched the regular game that night and won that too
The fact he won two games on the same day says something about his excellence. WOW.
I would love to see that scoresheet! You would need 3 of them if you kept the ENTIRE game! 😆
Wish they could find the whole broadcast of this game I would love to see that one again
Same
Really (you have 8 hrs to spare)
@@samwills8056 I could spare 8 hours on my days off from work

Amazing!! One of the most insane games in sports history for sure.

0:59 LMAO
What a weird throw
Cody Bellinger's throw to third against the Giants was the worst I've seen since this one.
I love the production style of the news cast.
Who else here after watching the Dodgers vs Red Sox game? Shit is insane
Me
@@TheVCRKing me too I was a year and almost a half old...no memory
I laughed so hard at the fact that at 0:23 he is flailing his arms so hard and takes such a large turn he’s almost in the coaches box
I have been looking for this forever!! Thank you!!
Tom C thank god for the internet
I don't think it was mentioned that White Sox HOF catcher Carlton Fisk caught all 25 innings of this game.
THE FIRST PUDGE (THEN CAME IVAN RODRIGUEZ.)
The original Pudge Fisk
I need a disc of this music, this is my jam
This is the classic 80'/90's sports music.
