I was diagnosed with Mcas in 2019 after many specialists since itchy skin started 2008. Took histamine blockers ever since but stopped recently because didn't work anymore. I now can't find a doctor who can help me😢
I have neuropathy. My feet are numb. I don’t have much pain it’s only been for a year. I went to my surgeon who did a back surgery 30 years ago and decided to do a triple laminectomy, that was in March. Now I’m seeing pain management and I started this prescription that the doctor did mention the second day I started itching so after four days I quit taking the meds. This is six days now and my itches on the top of my ears, my throat, my stomach, my arms and my groin and it hurts and I wanna thank you for your great video. I got a lot of good information from it
It's food. I went carnivore for a period. Beef salt and water only, for a month and then I added things back one by one, week by week. Caffeine was my big trigger but only the night after consumption. Restless leg syndrome adios. Different folks might have different triggers. I get itches in different parts of the body from certain foods or chemicals
SCENAR Therapy works fantastically on nerve pain and causes the brain to naturally release neuro peptides that flood the area being treated. It is an excellent drug free pain killer and reduces inflammation and muscular skeletal dysfunction. SCENAR Therapy is often described as acupuncture without needles. I would definitely recommend looking into this therapy if you are suffering with this condition.
Fascinating discussion, especially the study using ketamine therapy & nerve ablation - powerful stuff - I imagine an interesting connection with hormones and neural receptors when it comes to itch as well, thoughts? Thank you for this !
Could Lyme disease or a virus trigger these nerves to itch? I'm dealing with the same thing on my scalp for years, but I thought it was from a itchy birthmark, but it covers more area.
I suddenly developed an itchy scalp after gardening with a shower cap on to keep tree sap out if my hair. I showered and washed my hair when I came in, but developed “the itches”, especially on my scalp. I don’t feel or see anything, but I just scratch! WTH?
i got hsv1 and started itching like crazy all over my body, even scalp, eyebrows, cheeks, nose, feet, legs, back, chest, etc. im really suffering, kinda just want to die, lol.
@@WildDoveTrail You know what? I have Lyme as well. I know allergies develop when you have Lyme and I’m sensitive to EVERYTHING! Maybe you’re right. It’s small fiber neuropathy.
Will the neurogenic itches though be also accompanied with redness? Or they are only the sensation? Like can a small stroke or a cerebral dysregulation cause both the itch on the hand or chest and the redness?
I started having severe itching 3 years ago on my hips, inside of my thighs, below my belly button, genital area and a few other random areas off and on. The entire 3 years the worst spot is the anal area it has never stopped itching. There has never been a rash just crazy intense itching and pain. 4 months after itching started I was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder and was unable to walk normally for 3 months. I have seen several specialists, had biopsies, creams, medications and nothing has helped. I have been unable to find a doctor that understands or diagnose me to be able to stop the itch. I also have Tourette syndrome. The itching has taken over my life, bathroom visits cause me intense itching, it has interfered with my sleeping, sitting and laying down can trigger it also
What’s been your experience with this? Where do you experience this on your body?

Great topic! Sadly many patients get lost in the system😢

So all plants were hurtful to you?
@@keylanoslokj1806 no of course not, some are some not.
I just learned that shingles can just be itchy places that spreads to more areas . Rare but true. How can one know the difference.

Or antihistamine?
This was very interesting! Thank you for the information! Good luck Dr Kwarta with research, people need this!
Definitely was fascinating and a great reminder that itch can come from different issues in the body that we're still discovering!
What about meditation?
My arms are itchy. It’s usually 1 arm 1 day then the other. Also a spot on my back. I think it’s the brachio one he mentioned. How do we fix it?
What do you think about medical ozone therapy
Yes is so true that sleepless itching nights for 3 years makes me feel im going crazy feeling i wont live this way 😢

@@keylanoslokj1806 possibly a yeast or fungus, could cause the itchy with the redness. Think about cradle cap.
