I was playing Berzek just outside our Big Wheel store. I was playing just find until one of the robots killed me. I said you bastard then all of sudden I was pulled away from the machine by my dad. I said hey I still have one more life left. He said you should of thought about that before you swear....lol
ArcadeTalk, I can relate for sure. My Atari 2600 got taken away a couple of times when I was a kid when I let one slip :) And when a quarter's on the line, because as a kid I didn't always have one, fowl language was sometimes involved :) vgv
Seems like a good cabinet. My only issue would be the height of it. I get that you are using it as a sit down I just wish they offered you an option for the riser. I really liked this video format and your game room set up is pretty dam epic my man
erbwars, Thanks for stopping by! I agree about the riser. As I spoke about in the Customer Support and Other Annoyances sections, I think a riser would've gotten more people into the Alpha-Cade. I'm hoping if Rec Room Masters ever decides to re-release the Alpha-Cade, they make a riser option. In my case, I've always wanted at least one sitdown cabinet in my Home Arcade. All my other machines are stand up, though I do use stools to play them sitting down when I get tired of standing :) I'm also glad you like the format, its something I concept-ed from my very first review. I wanted to do something different than the other reviews I saw. I wanted to weave in a narrative or story to make things more personal, connect with people on a bigger level than just a mere recommendation. But for those who might just want the review parts, I also placed in chapters, so they could get what they wanted as well. It's kind of like the riser concept. Give people options. I touched upon this in a couple of places in the video, but here's my suggestion to Rec Room Masters if they ever offer this cabinet again. I actually like having one sitdown cabinet in my Home Arcade. I also like cocktail cabinets as well, but don't have the room for any more machines.
