They start naming the Beatles, AC/DC. Zeppelin, Doors, Bob Marley etc... and I don't know how many of their fans, especially the young ones that followed Taylor from her acting days, will know who those artists are.
Well what better time than now to search for them here on UA-cam and find out who some of those great musicians are?
moreblack I'm 16 and I've been brought up listening to them. Even if I wasn't I still would have heard of them because they are well known bands. Just because a band is before our time doesn't mean we can't appreciate their music. I'd say about 90% of kids in my class at school also know of these and listen to these bands.
Most of TPR fans know these bands! I guess Gossip Girl fans no longer listen to TPR.

+koko hala And there is nothing wrong with that. ;) But I mean a lot of GG fans used to listen to TPR only because Taylor played Jenny and didn't even consider them as band and since then those fans moved on.
Every time Taylor names bands she loves i'm like wtf this chick is copying me! I love 70s and 90s rock.. early 2000s. I love singing alice in chains as a girl and making it work.. love singing classic rock and always wonder how to bring back a dead genre. and then i get the new album and they did everything I've ever wanted to do with music. Amazing album. Hangman is so cool, i hope they do more songs with a AIC sound. I am just bummed i didn't start following her or TPR until 2013 , missed when she sang and toured with marilyn manson. I think they should tour together again. I met marilyn manson this summer at his concert and after i was done being super awkward, we talked about taylor and how he choked her on stage lol. I said i think i recall her saying she liked it! I also met taylor back in 2014 and completely froze haha. I hate that ifan girl in my 20s so hard but i totally did. But we smiled at each other at least. Im always up front at her shows but at the latest tpr show, i was all the way in the back. They are so famous now. Congrats on all your success TPR, you deserve it!
