- As we left the Tallapoosa it started raining but flows on our planned Coosa bass waters were still low and perfect. Unfortunately though we arrived to major flash flooding, the river went from 20 to 5000cfs on our drive. With our coosa bass plans crushed we enjoyed the epic waterfall, made lunch and started thinking about our next move. With rain all over the north we decided well just have to come back some other time and head over to some warrior bass water a couple hours away.
We arrived to super low clear water but just enough light to set up camp. It rained all night not heavy but steadily and yet again we found our planned waters dirty and blown out. Luckily though after checking a few creeks up river we found one that was only fuzzy. We figure it was best bet and hike down a ways before we hoped in. First or second hole down Emily scored the first boogle bug eating warrior bass we had ever seen. A few hole later i joined the cool kids club. We didnt catch all the redeye bass in alabama but not bad for our first trip and were looking forward to many more. Alabama is beautiful who knew!
Beautiful place to fish.
Yeah we had to go way up river to find good enough water clarity after the rain but target fish aquired.
