  • Note to self:
Self, don't count your chickens before they hatch and don't expect red, white & blue morning glories to bloom in time for July 4th.
Cross your fingers that the Scarlett O'Hara morning glories (red) & Moonflowers (white) catch up to the Grandpa Ott (blue) morning glories. The humming birds would appreciate it

Still a great idea growing the Red, White and Blue flowers together! Love it. You'll just have to celebrate the 4th again in August or whenever they catch up with each other :)

I may try it again next year, but use white morning glories, instead of the moonflowers. It doesn't help that it's been so hot & dry where I am...

@@inchwormgardens, I'm NE of Knoxville (Tri City area) and we are affected by the Cumberland Plateau. Systems from the west are often broken up as they head east. On Tuesday, it poured rain 10 miles from my house, but nothing actually on my garden. Eagerly awaiting a possible thunderstorm here this evening. I've had less than 4" of rain since June 1st.
