  • First look at the new Solo Cruiser 16.8 Solo canoe - March 19th 2018.
A masterful extension of Swift's signature designs, the Cruiser 16.8 is an adventurer's dream. At 16'8'' with ample waterline, significant tumblehome, and hybridized features of both marathon racing and expedition canoes, the Cruiser does exactly what its name implies. Whether you're an expedition tripper or a casual racer, you can expect impressive tracking, bountiful speed, and remarkable seaworthiness. For middle to larger sized paddlers who seek efficiency and versatility to suit an adventurous lifestyle, the Cruiser 16'8'' represents a new era of highly stylized design for the wilderness adventurer.

Hello Bill! This is a nice boat and did not looked too heavy when you carried it. I got to test on my way back home, my Pack 13.6 I got at Canoecopia. I documented several portions of the whole trip for my You Tube channel but I want you guys to see me almost losing my life at the Colorado river testing paddling the solo 13.6; the canoe (and God!) actually saved me! if I would have done that paddling with the instable Hornbeck Classic 12 or any other small boat with less stability, I would have gone over the gunnels into the water. I edited that section of my trip specially to show how safety is important. Now you know I am no an experienced paddler by no means; it shows clearly in the video but I sure made a mistake thinking I would be ok defying the weather conditions that day of high winds and the current in the Colorado river ; I learned my lesson that it is best to know what you getting into instead of having to call for help in a place where nobody but yourself can help when we are out there. Here is the link to the video in You Tube; ua-cam.com/video/sQOuJlgAz00/v-deo.html
