All great advice! Another thing is to be willing to learn songs and things you might never have wanted to on your own or work on things you know you are struggling with during band practice or songwriting. This last part is something we as music fans take for granted, but when bands release an amazing record usually it's months if not years of practice and work to get to a level where the songs can be played well. That's the part of the process we don't see. I remember Neil Peart who was the drummer for Rush saying it took him years to write lyrics and come up with drum parts for songs and then to be able to physically perform them at a high enough level that they are memorised.
So true! Great point.
This was one of the best videos I’ve ever seen on learning guitar , you’re the best man! Very helpful
Thanks for watching!
6. Some of my favourite Stones solos are played by Keith Richards.
Another fantastic video. You’re ability to simplify music and make it accessible for all is truly brilliant! You make it possible to get better on the days where I just feel a bit negative about my playing and possibilities with this instrument. Thanks for what you do!
Thank you for the kind words. Keep at it. You got this! Glad I can be of some help :)
11: DON'T be that guy who can't stop diddling the Guitar at a high volume when other people in the band are talking!
11a. Don't play anything on the guitar if someone is talking to the group.
11b. Don't play anything on the guitar if the singer is talking with the audience. (You can tune the guitar if you are able to mute the sound)
Tip 1 couldn’t be more important and is rightfully first.
Love your lessons Andrew... Please make a lesson on Arpeggios. That would be very helpful.
Always a pleasure to watch your lessons. Thx a lot!
Thanks for watching!!
Awesome as usual!

Could you provide guidance on percussive strumming?
Good suggestion! I'll work on something.
@@andrewclarkeguitar thanks a lot

Also, great video, 8/10

You’re too good
Appreciate that 😀
Respond texts in a timely manner 😅
oh man YES 😂
You really like country music? Who do you listen to?
It's not really something I choose to listen to very often. But I had a gig playing for a contemporary country band for a while. I'm more a fan of the guitar playing specifically than anything else. So players like Guthrie Trapp, Brent Mason, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, John Osborne, etc.
@@andrewclarkeguitar Sounds good!
Do you offer lessons?
@@drsrsv8884 Not right now. Mostly just focusing on UA-cam at the moment. I may in the future though!
