- Malcolm Holcombe's new album 'Another Black Hole' - *OUT NOW*
Underground folk legend Malcolm Holcombe releases his twelfth full length album, Another Black Hole. It’s sure to captivate both long term fans as well as be a revelation to the uninitiated.
Comprised of 10 new songs, Malcolm is accompanied by his usual recording ensemble of Jared Tyler on dobro, David Roe on bass, and Ken Coomer on drums. Very special guest Tony Joe White is also featured on several tracks, with his inimitable swamp guitar sound, propelling Malcolm's distinctive Appalachian folk into regions previously untapped. Also appearing are Future Man percussion and Drea Merritt on vocal harmonies.

An amazing songwriter and performer and a man I'm proud to call my friend.
This was an absolute joy to film. Getting to know the man behind the songs. Or maybe it's the songs behind the man. Hard to tell. Love and thanks Malcolm.
Amazing talent: check!
Lyricist extraordinaire: check!
A gentleman in the truest sense of the word: check!
As real as the day is long: check!
I count myself extremely fortunate to have seen this kind soul perform many times and I will continue to see him as many more times as I am able to in the future.
I count myself even more fortunate for the times I have had just shooting the breeze with him when the opportunity arises before and after gigs or dodging the weather in a vehicle outside of the venue.
Please keep putting your heart on your sleeve Malcolm; it's a beautiful and brave activity.
Thank you so much!
I like a lot of your songs Mr. Holcombe. Keep up the good work. Gene Bellamy

Lyrics for Another Black Hole by Malcolm Holcombe, Futureman & Tony Joe White
I feel like a stranger on the south boulevard
chicago buzz in the water
he crossed the street to the nines lookin' harder
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
laughin' drunk ahead o' the others
me and you in a hole in the wall
strapped tight undercover
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
the radio plays for the happy go lucky
that aint my set o' wheels
drag me down the road to get even
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
the past has a smell and a one way ticket
to leave you standin' still
on the side o' the road in a new york minute
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
that dollar store streetlight whisperin' cheap
words stuck in the air
your piss poor listenin' so debonair
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
the radio plays for the happy go lucky
that aint my set o' wheels
drag me down the road to get even
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
we got it made in the shade lil' brother
dont you worry at all
i know alot you jus' suffer and call it
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
the radio plays for the happy go lucky
that aint my set o' wheels
drag me down the road to get even
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
the radio plays for the happy go lucky
that aint my set o' wheels
drag me down the road to get even
livin' in another black hole livin' in another black hole
