I saw Malcolm play one Friday night at the Blue Door in Oklahoma City and the next Friday I was in NYC looking for something to do. By coincidence, Malcolm was playing at Black Betty's in Brooklyn that night. When my brother and I got off the subway and found Black Betty's, there was Malcolm out front. He got a funny look on his face and did a double take when we walked up and I reminded him I had just seen him halfway across the country the week before. (We probably told him some BS about making a special trip.) My brother, Dennis, had never heard Malcolm play but, being an old folk singer, after only a song or two he said "That's the real thing". Hope you're doing well with what your dealing with Malcolm. And I hope perfect health will be yours again soon and that you can tour your great work out to the Blue Door again.
I remember the good old days in the 80's when you played on Cherry street, at McDibbs. I still have the monthly calendars with you on the schedule. Your voice is still the same, one of a kind brother, hope you have a great garden in 2023

Standing tall on shaky ground ( genius ) line which I sing out at full pelt on the beach .Anyways have a great 2023 with gigs enough to satisfy .
