If you head back to Shropshire, have a look along Offa's Dyke and The Marches, the area on the Welsh borders - lots of good walks there. Also Kington, Knighton (just over the Welsh border), Clun. Going in a completely different direction, the Vale of White Horse in Oxfordshire is a bit off the beaten track too. Aside from the White Horse itself up on the hill, there are plenty more walks. Plus stop off at Faringdon for the interesting short walk up to the folly - complete with instructions not to feed the giraffes in the tower at the top. Built by eccentric and fun-loving Lord Berners, I think you'll enjoy his influence on the place. You'll find Salvador Dali's diving helmet (the result of a lost bet) set into a bench in the small town.

Cool to see you thinking about making some improvements without changing what you do. Let's just say, I unfollowed another car camper who turned his channel into a van build and hanging out with other UA-camrs. It lost its magic.

Just found you. Very entertaining video. I have dabbled in car camping in the last year or two, (Focus estate) and recently come back from ten days in the Outer Hebrides. I used camp sites, and layby's where others were parking. It's too risky to be isolated. For bathroom activities I took a gazunder. Using a potty in a car is doable but contents need to be covered until there is opportunity to empty it. My bed is a metal foldable sunlounger extra foam, very comfortable, with space underneath for storage boxes. My back seats fold flat. I wouldn't cook in the car like you do, like to have a door open for fumes to escape. I also go for warm up type of convenience food. I will look for some more of your videos. Thanks. ilona

Aaaaah epic episode! Flippin pancakes! "Too much sugar, not enough lemon" hahaha brilliant! You make us laugh mate! The misses reckons you need a pullout something from the top of your bed, drivers side, maybe a seat / cooking table that pulls out? We bought a hand pump tap for our camper from ebay, cost like £8 and you can pipe it to your water bottle or water tank, give it a bit of a pump and hey, water 😉

A good tip for you is to use scissors for cutting up your chicken, it works really well. You can cut it up straight into the frying pan! No cutting on the chopping board, Good videos by the way

Cutting chicken up… just use some scissors and cut it up in the tray it came in! Saves messing up a board 👍🏼

Best video yet. Regarding the cooking get yourself an instant read thermometer for less than £20. You'll never have to worry about undercooked meat again.

You need one of those little plastic cutting boards for different meats! Amazon had them quite cheap and possibly cheaper on eBay! They save my life! I just use my wood board under them! Really enjoyed your video! Your living my dream. I’m super jealous

Love the ridge walk, awesome views. Your current car is sufficient for your local tour. Probably a minivan or van but preferably one with 4WD or AWD at the least to ensure you can explore more remote and country roads including some interesting off-roads. Obviously Organization is vital for any vehicle. Haha!

yeh there pretty good just dont add the chilli pack if u dont like spice, my dad did the massaman and added them and also chopped them into the smallest of pieces, nearly blew my face off

I'd definitely like to fet a van at some point cash depending, still feel a bit exposed camping in the car I think a van would feel a bit more secure, ... wow thank you soooo much for the offer I actually have one myself and used to love it nothing like hearing the that whistle going when it's boiled but it slowly started leaving a bit if a weird taste in my drinks I'm guessing there's some sort of limescale build up, as it's a sealed unit though its tough to clean it inside properly hence why I now use the saucepan but thank you soo much for the offer 😀

You put descaler in the jug bit and only about a quid for 3 sachets from home bargains

You can get a tent annex for your back door from about £30, this might enable you having a shower under the back door. Think about a jackery for power and add a couple of 12v sockets or USB sockets. For your side and back windows I would try some heavy window tints.
saw those tent things actually look pretty cool, more something for next summer now though i think, definitely would like a jackery or something similar, funny story a company called blue yeti who also make a similar battery thing contacted me a while ago offering me one for a review, i actually turned them down because i only had 500 subs at the time, thing was worth 500 squid but i was sure it was a scam
Whats your usage pattern for your car usually, and what are you hoping to use it for when camping?
I ask because you mentioned a fridge which would imply longer camping trips, and the full size bed would probably be most sensible as a permanent setup. I get the impression that that isn't the case?
Id be inclined to consider whether you ever use the rear most seats, and even the middle row. removing those would free up a load of room. if you want to keep it more stock car, id be inclined to have a big storage box where the bed goes, and an extra board resting on the middle seats (if that makes sense), rather than a bed and trying to squeeze things in around it. but then I like over complicate things.
normally i put it back to a normal car in the week but to be honest ive been lazy the past few weeks

UK fabrics online sell black duck canvas====I think they call it "Waterproof Heavy Duty 600 Denier Canvas with PVC Backing" at 1.5mx1m £4.99, (stuff they made womens handbags/sack thinks from)....this is perfect for your silver blinds, great price!. For a VW golf both sides I ordered 6m of it, (£35 + 5p&p) which is perfect.( all windows including windscreen), By doing the inner as well, you can have a flap on the inside to cover any light leaks. Attach with spray on contact adhesive, you will need 3 cans about £5 each screwfix/wickes/toolstation. for the flaps use a hot glue gun £9 wilko plus 2 packs of glue sticks at £4 each. Also, I know that you just built a bed, but i would have removed the 2 rear seats and started with more headroom....just my thoughts. Good luck on your adventures!

I used Floor Protection sheet 2mm Antinox ( Homebase £5) with the silver bubble either side- this gives you the air gap to make the insulation work better. The Duck Canvas will hide the silver as you can’t see though it, plus it is waterproof. And you can still fold them for storage

Rather than using a knife to cut your meat on the cutting board with all the issues of cross contamination, use kitchen scissors.
