    0.05mm valve clearance intake and exhaust. Rear shock has multiple setttings for stiffness and rebound. Those are mistakes in the review. Both the KAYO and VMC are worth checking out if you are new or experienced.

  • @YAMR1M
    @YAMR1M 11 місяців тому

    The rear shock has quite a lot of adjustment to be honest. Set the sag at about 20mm for the rear. If it is hot where you are then just find some PMT Soft compound tyres. You will not regret it. Those tyres are what almost every pit bike in Europe run in either Soft, Super Soft or the Rain compound slicks (I know it sounds odd having rain slicks) But for really cold or a wet track (not raining) they work really well. The forks seem really cheap but SP or FastAce forks work really well and if you run the fast ace fork just swap out the oil for 20wt oil. We have been running some properly rated for springs in our pit bike with a 15% stiffer front end. Pull the pads out and see if they are the same as some other bike, Usually they do copy a pad being produced already and find an SBS, EBC or Brembo made pad for the brakes. Swap the Master Cylinder for an Adelin one if the pad swap is still not enough. But if you spend a bit of money on the bike swap the brake for a Formula 4 piston set up (KTM 85cc MX bikes use them as standard) and a set of Brembo pads you will not regret it.

      Thanks for the information! I have purchsed VMC upgraded adjustable front forks and I plan to install it in the off season. I will look into the brake setup as well! Do you set your valves at .05 intake/exhaust?

    Hi. I appreciate the videos of this VMC. Mine arrived to not to long ago and I'm setting it up this weekend. What battery did you get that fits in the tray?

    • @motionsick4973

      Congratulations! I got the battery from autozone. I believe a standard motorcycle battery will fit. I just measured the box and brought a tape measure to autozone to double check it though. I have left the battery plugged in, no battery tender, all winter and the bike fired up no problem this spring...so that's cool

    Thanks for the review! How tall are you? Is it reasonable enough to ride for taller riders? I'm 6'3 and fit on modified groms (ergonomics wise) alright, but not sure about the mini gp bikes

    • @motionsick4973
      @motionsick4973  3 дні тому

      Hey Dylan! I'm 6'4". This bike is small for me but rideable. I added a thickened seat pad and I would recommend clip on risers. It would be nice to have more adjustability in the rear sets too. This bike in stock form has good power and keeps up with the Ovahles but the ergos on the Kayo 150 are better for tall riders IMO. Kayo with rearsets, clip on risers and thick seat pad feels really nice actually. However, the stock Kayo is not competitive against the Ovahles. Get a mini you won't regret it!

      I ordered a hydraulic clutch but it didn't fit without a new clutch mount bracket on the engine so I just put it on the shelf. Do you know a brand that fits without modification? I'll look into the Brembo brake upgrade. I got the a 14mm Brembo master cylinder installed but haven't tested it yet. It may be too big and actually make the brakes worse...we'll see. thanks for watching!

      if you get a daytona clutch side case it has a remarkable circle clutch cover were the arm located and they sell one with a hydraulic built in the cover'' it a great upgrade for a zs190' engine for the brakes to function currently you also need the calibers s0 every sized write for each other.

      I got the chance to ride a Daytona on an Ovhale at the track. It does pull a little stronger for sure, but it doesn't blow the doors off the ZS 190cc. If you are racing a bunch of Ovhale's it's worth the extra $. If you are just track day riding I'm not sure it is. You can also just buy the 4 valve head down the road and essentially convert the ZS to the Daytona. I'm glad you are considering the bike!

    Great review! How does it compare to Kayo MR150? Especially from the ergos standpoint? I am 5'11" and on my Kayo I find myself not being able to avoid scraping my toes when throwing it into the turns hard. Also, my hands go numb from the vibration and being cramped so tightly after 10 minutes of riding at pace. Probably a very individual reaction but still, would be interesting to hear if there's any noticeable difference between the VMC and KAYO comfort wise. Thanks again!

    • @motionsick4973
      @motionsick4973  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for the comment man! ERGO-wise the Kayo with the upgrades I added (rearsets,clip on risers, seat riser and thick pad) have made my Kayo the most comfortable mini-bike I've used. With that said, the stock VMC feels pretty big out of the box. Less legroom for sure but not by much. If I could put rearsets on it to get a little more leg room it would be comparable to my modded Kayo. I think 20-minutes is about all we can do on these bikes before we need a break. LOL. Is your Kayo stock?

    • @dpersh76
      @dpersh76 Рік тому +1

      I got rear sets and larger tail section. I was thinking of adding clip on risers and a thicker seat pad. Maybe that would allow me to raise the pegs a bit to avoid scraping.

    So the seat padding came off? How many parts does it come crated? wondering about assembly. Good to know it works well with tall riders. Was it easy to shift gears since you're tall?

    • @motionsick4973
      @motionsick4973  Рік тому +1

      Seat padding just needs some 3M spray. The factory stuff loses its grip when it warms up. The bike is crated as a complete bike. Just attach the clip ons and add oil. Pretty awesome. Its still a mini bike so you will feel cramped but for a mini bike it feels bigger than most! Shifting isn’t bad at all

      ??? Take apart a carburetor slide and realize there is nothing to fear. Valves do this and worse 1000's of times a minute. It will be OK. The fascination is that a properly working throttle cable and intake slide will snap shut. It's worthwhile to test it. Thanks for the comment and watching!
