I was wondering. Is this model as sensitive to deep targets as the Fisher 1266X? It kind of looks the same and looks like it uses the same 'spider' coil.
The 1270 is an older design and like all detectors from that period yes it can be a tad heavy...but there are still those who swear by this machine and refuse to buy newer, lighter models!
Just think of how big your forearms will get. I went to horseshoeing school for six weeks and it's amazing how much stronger your forearms get from swinging a hammer. I'd assume a metal detector will likely cause ones physical stature to also develop more.
