- The new Gen:Lock Paladins battle pass (or as they call it now, 'crossover pass'), comes with five skins for five different champions! We have new skins for Zhin, Kinessa, Viktor, Maeve, and Lex.
It's interesting how the new skin for Lex changes his gender, making it the second gender-bent skin after Pepper. Some of those new Gen:Lock skins are better than others. Some feature unique animations, whereas others borrow stuff from the default skins.
Without further ado, let's check whether this new Paladins event pass is worth your money because it costs a whopping 750 crystals!

Honestly we just need to support the skins so that more crossovers happen.

Speaking of Crossover. Crossover attract ppl play the game just like Smite RWBY and Avatar you called it stupid? they gain more players and made profit.

I hate that some voice lines are so generic and boring, the best skins are zhin and meave, they don't recycle default sound effects

He speaks Japanese, that's dedication to the character. I hate Maeve, but her Cammie skin has the best voicelines ever

Is it me or does chase look like an old man in paladins instead of a young adult I'm definitely getting this for the meave and zhin skins though especially that zhin skin with the ebon star sword will be awesome

I went to watch the show out of curiosity after they present the teaser of these Skins... it's sad they couldn't get the voice actors but they managed it good... I feel like Cammie and Kazu really suited Maeve and Zhin... xD

I remember back when you polled if your videos ever convinced people to buy the showcased skin/pass. I said I was never compelled; just "wow, this video is so amazing!". Now, since I had a bad first impression on the skins, this video actually made me want to purchase this coming pass. I now want to get that zhin skin, even if I don't play him much.

Just can't resist that Meave's scouse accent, as a Meave main xD this skin is a must have.
Great video as always Mouse! Im so on the fence about this pass. On the one hand I want to buy it to support the first Paladins crossover in the hopes that we get more. But on the other hand, the skins are all for champs I rarely play. And their not my style either. Also really tiny nitpick, I dislike that lex reload as it looks like he/she's about to go for a slide.
That's actually great attention to detail, I didn't notice that at first!
Also yeah, same here, I the only champion I play out of those 5 is Tyra (oh forgot, she's not in this BP :P) I'll still buy it to support the game but that's it
They really went all out on the maeve and zhin skins like wow they look so good. Even the lex skin.
These skins are great, maybe the biggest issue i have with this Crossover Pass is that doesn't have skins for healers or tanks.

Zhin's skin may be worth buying the whole crossover pass for. It's too good, the rest are meh..
I dunno why but i fell in love with the Valentina skin, it is so fucking good in my opinion, i dunno what draws me to it, but i love it. I think it's how simple it is and the color, i love it's colors.
Ayy or nay. I choose Nay first off even if i don't happen to buy the season pass with 1500 i will probably spended on the chance of obtaining dream skin of mine stellar protector Io tbf the show doesn't interest me nor do i play often ANY of the characters in the Crossover Pass.
The io skin will be obtainable on 8th august i guess

as a viktor main, i dont like chase textures, but his gun is so nice and the VFX are stunning
Now I finally got the pass before the newest update.
Though I have better skins and they are removing my headshot perk with Kinessa im getting this one. Mostly for the lex and zhin skins. Though I don't like flanks, I love these skins.
The Maeve skin has freckles.
I will now play Maeve.

It would be cool if for a break moment, when the characters are in their ults, their model turns into their mech in a smooth animation.

There are 2 things which bother me:
1. The Kinessa mines are the default ones while they are mid-air
2. The Prowl and Midnight animation are bit to eye catching. It distracts me quite much while playing but overall pretty nice

Androxus also says some German words with his Steampunk skin, so Kazu Zhin isnt the first character to speak another language. :)
True, there's also Fernando, Carnival Ying, Tiberius, Merrymaker Maeve, and a few more I am probably missing ^^ What I meant is that all of his lines are different, not only a few, if that makes sense.

Kazu is pretty straight-forward, and seems pretty mature. Valentina is always detached and bored. Cammie is casual and carefree. Chase is strict as the situation demands it, since hes kinda the leader.
Recycling old skins and sounds is kinda meh tho.
I haven't lol And based on a poll I've made, 93% of my viewers haven't either. This is why I compared those skins to other cosmetics in Paladins rather than focusing on how well they represent the characters from the series.

I thought chase was going to be a skin for lex when I first saw it, I also thought that much like the Valentina skin he just sounds bored in all of the voice lines

I agree that Valentina sounds bored but damn do I love it. While unpopular, I love how much she didn’t care about war in the show and I love how her personality in the show made it in.

The only good skins are Zhin and Maeve. Even the guns are looking crappy except for the pistols for Lex. Not really worth the money unless you just want more Maeve skins
