Excellent explanations. I feel much stronger now that I understand the reasons for moves, rather than just trying to memorize the moves.

I sincerely believe understanding chess instead of memorizing it is the next step for many players to feel much more comfortable and confident when playing! :)

@@LionChess I am happy to hear that! I've seen so many chess videos on UA-cam and many educational ones as well, but the way you explained things made some things click better for me compared to the educational videos from many others. You definitely have a great talent at explaining things and I hope you continue to make videos as the quality of your videos deserves hundreds of thousands of subscribers for sure!
When it comes to specific topics, my issue with chess is my mindset as I tend to not play the game as it is meant to be played via strategizing and thinking ahead. I am often multi-tasking listening to videos in the background while playing chess and I also play the game instinctually, mostly blasting out my memorized (seemingly good opening) moves fast not thinking many steps ahead, especially in the opening. Then when my opponent plays the game and eventually grabs a pawn for free, then I rage and basically resign or go all in to checkmate them via many sacrifices which sometimes work. Now your 'never resign' video and stalemating tricks you taught in that video actually helped me and made me excited to continue to play my games even when I am down so much material and for that, I appreciate you a lot!
I guess one thing that would help me a lot would be to never forget that "always look for checks, captures and then tactics" mindset as I often forget about that during the game so anything that will give me more of a lion mindset of dealing with my prey the best way and not forgetting basic strategies would help me out a lot. I'd also love to see some 'good response moves to most common openings' type of videos from you which I believe would also help me out. My chess profile name is DaVeganSkeptic and I suspect I'll have many more victories under my belt next time I play chess thanks to you. Much love!

@@TheVeganSceptic I really appreciate the kind words :)
I'll definitely keep making videos because I'm very passionate about helping people improve their chess!
As far as your specific situation, you will see results as soon as you stop resigning so early (as soon as you get forked or lose material) and as soon as you start to play more rapid games and less blitz haha I see all your recent games are blitz which is fun but doesn't make you improve.
Try playing some rapid games without any distractions and really focus on double checking your moves before you play them.
At your current level, chess is more about not beating yourself than it is about beating your opponent. Try playing safe, principled moves which slowly improve your position while being tactically alert for your opponent's mistakes and watch your opponent just crumble.
Looking forward to hearing from you in the near future, keep watching and enjoy! :D
