Overall, I'd say this is one of the hardest challenges I've had to do, mostly because I am stupid and made little mistakes that turned into huge mistakes over time. A word of warning to anyone attempting this challenge: you will lose your sanity...

Video 4 of asking Firefly to do this challenge.
Challenge Idea: Get 1 mil Power/Second on a sector
1) Don't be lame and spam only one kind of power gen (RTGs I'm looking at you)
2) Also get 100 mil in saved power
- This one is debatable because I don't know if 100 mil is possible with limited space
3) Only use Power Based Weapons when defending the sector (or attacking if you are doing that)
4) Try to build more support air units (Polys, Megas, Quads, Octs) to help you build
5) Don't Overdrive/Overdome any reactors
- This is to prevent you from just building like 10 impact reactors and then Overdoming then to get 1 mil power
- You can still Overdrive/Overdome your cryo mixers and stuff
This would make an awesomely hard challenge

I'm doing something like this myself and im around 124 waves and im having groups of over 150 enemies
Bro compared to 24×5 t5s 84 is really relatively small number

I lost power to my impact reactors a few times. Takes a lot of water to keep those things going. Takes a bit of effort to get them running again once they shut down too as you now have a huge base to power (hint: one line of power out so you can disconnect). I started placing a battery bank with a few steam generators near them...just in case. Though a diode and battery bank is probably a quicker way to jump start it and figured out what went wrong.

Planet destroyer: clear 1000 waves in a single sector 0% have completed this achievement.

For the people asking for a wave 1000 : Funny enough if you look at the datas of for this map, the maximum unit number the enemy can have is at wave 503 (and it's like 1 more than 481 which is the biggest one before 500) so going further will be the same stuff on loop.
Actually, no, the toxopids are not doing any real (direct) damage
What's huge about them is the sapped effect, sapped ennemies are so weak you can squish them and since the toxopids are sapping ennemies they die instantly to the rest of the defense ^^

Challenge idea:
You can't place blocks from the same section (I mean the 10 symbols with eg mining, turrets) adjacent (diagonal is allowed) to each other.
You especially won't be able to build walls the way you use to. Any kind of (liquid) transport will turn almost impossible.
And it is forbidden to expand your core with vaults. Though this is not going to matter because you can't unload from the core.
You will obiously need exports to get started, but you can both attempt an enemy base or a "normal" sector.
I really appreciate your content and like to see you suffer in this wonderful game.

It will let you power the impact reactor setup and all of its components (you do have to watch the wiring) and even if you overdraw the power it will always power the setup first while eveything else will work at reduced capacity.
U can put a t5 reconstructor by the water, and put t4 boats directly into it
And you use diod incorrectly, watch some guids on UA-cam

It has overclock boost to units as a nice buff, best compared with sei/cyerce possibly mass amounts of corvus

Raiders units and their sapped status effect on the enemy is really good~
Challenge - complete an enemy base using tier ones and twos only. You can use turrets for defence, just don’t attack the enemy core with anything except t1s and 2s
if i had done 500 waves i would have taken all tier 5 units and go with all of them to the core

One word: Diodes.
On one of my sectors it runs something silly like 400-500 waves, and has corvus, and eclipse, all under processor control doing most of the work, and a few meltdowns at the chokepoint, whilst my foreshadow battery runs under processor control to pick targets... and make sure they dont shoot unless there is something worth wasting surge on, such as t4+. When you have 24 corvus' using processors to snipe at max range, and retreating back to the core as things get closer than their range, nothing gets through. Everything else is superfluous.
With how effective those T5's were on defence, I'm wondering now if you could do a high threat sector with only units for defense? Might make for a cool challenge!
