you know, I'm kinda jealous. I have to drive at least 4 hours to get enough snow for snowboarding, but then again I'm not. I can enjoy you seeing there snowboarding and having fun and I guess that's what makes me happy too. to see other people having fun in the snow when I can't.
Unfortunately the ski resort is completely shut this year due to covid so I'm having to walk up for every run, but yes, at least i can still go riding! 😃
Actually, really good idea to have your dog out there with you could help you in trouble if anything happens, plus they probably love it as much as we do
Great footage here Malcolm, I could tell you were loving it and I'm sure Indy had a blast as well! Wish we have that much snow here in Canada. Cheers brother!
You are such an inspiration, Malcolm! How you have deal with the resort closure demonstrates happiness depends on our perspective. Instead of reading “No Complaint for 21 Days,” I should just watch all of your videos this season and be grateful for everything! Keep up with Indy, Malcolm! 😜🤣🐶
@@malcolmmoore I canceled it. I am not ready. I worked two jobs this winter and did not have time to practice. Spent only about 30 days riding. However, I competed the required clinician and passed the research paper with flying colors, so I will be able to focus on riding next season! Thank you for asking, Malcolm!
Great job Indy love seeing him have so much fun Malcolm is a great pet dad. Also nice and quiet riding sooo smooth we are ice boarding 🤣 we’re I’m at it’s very loud but still slot of fun and another skill set. Great job Malcolm
It's been tough this winter to keep making videos with zero lifts running, but I cant wait for next season where hopefully things will be back to normal!
Yeah I've changed up now, so I'm recording the gps data on a suunto smart watch with a barometric pressure sensor which is way more accurate than just a gps. I then take the GPX file and import it into the free Garmin Virb Edit software to make the speed and altitude gauges. You then have to sync it up to your footage, its alot more confusing at first but once you get the hang of the process it produces far more reliable results!
@@malcolmmoore That’s interesting, your altitude data would definitely be more accurate. I don’t have one of those watches, but I have an apple watch. You’ve got me thinking about trying to see if I can find something similar for the apple watch. Also, have you used the slopes app by any chance? If yes, would you recommend?
Malcolm, no offence, but watching 1/4 of your snowboard down that run is no match for watching Indy do it. :) so just get a 360 cam and focus on Indy sprinting down 2000ft, will ya?
I would look at a Ride machete gt. Or a super pig if not going to park your board look for a all mountain board medium flex. Also a lib tech with magna track is a good choice but I’m particular to Ride using a twin pig so look at a war pig or any in pig series
Yeah agreed with Jimmy, just make sure you get the right size for you, check the spec sheet on the brands website to make sure you fit within the brackets for a given size!
I am 49 years old and enjoy seeing new things. I have never seen a dog charge down a ski resort like that. Thank you, that was very fun
Thanks Gerald!
@The Male Channel lmfao this is too funny…
Imagine being able to just sprint down a snow covered mountain
Without cartwheeling down the entire mtn!
Amazing bond between the handler and dog. And the dog...... unbelievable.
Yes Indy is the greatest 😀
That dog was in Heaven you could tell he was just enjoying it to the fullest! Im sure he ate and slept well that night! …..I just love this!!
Me: Hears the beautiful sound of the snow
Malcolm: This is very nice ... Wahooo
😃
That is one fit dog. Lots of powder , just ice where I am . Sweden
At least you have some open resorts! 😃
That Dog ran more I ever ran in my whole life in that stride. Wow you too are living dreams of mine🎉
Go Indy Gooooooo!! He is living his best life

What a great and enjoyable video. I’ve never seen a dog going down ski slopes. Kudos to both of you.
Thanks 🙌 Indy loves getting a mention 😀
Imagine, some dogs have to sit indoors almost 24hrs/day.
It's such a crime. my brother has a Vizsla., and it gets no where enough exercise
@@kosycat1 did you know vizsla is Hungarian?
My dog refuses to leave the house. She's way too lazy to even consider going on the mountain.
Ikr! I take my dog out all the time. They have feelings too.
A dog always=double of happiness.

Your dog is a CHAMP! Well done!
Thanks! 😃
Indy is one awesome, lucky, and happy doggo

Thank you from an English snowboarder living vicariously through through my phone 🤨👍🏻
I feel your pain, hopefully next winter everything will be back to normal!
I second that, from a Kiwi shut inside (yet again) while the last of the season melts away... 🥺

Indy doing a spine run! 🥳 should put one of those GoPro pooch mounts on her!
Yeah, I think I need to do that! 😃
Indy is SUPER AWESOME! And very beautiful :)

Hit me up if you ever make it over here! 😃
@@malcolmmoore I will for sure :)

Your dog seems to know his way around the resort.....
He does indeed! 😁🐕

They gotta open those lifts back up!!
I know!
hey dude, you 're wonderful.
Hey, thanks! 😃
Awesome. 🤙 how long did that approach walk take dude?
About 2 hours for this one!
Fantastic.
Glad you think so! 😃
i had a question - how do you take indy up the hill with you? also i love your videos, keep it up!
This was filmed last year when the resort stayed completely shut due to covid, so I had to hike up to film this, but that meant I can take indy!
@@malcolmmoore so does that mean you can't normally take indy up the gondola/lifts, and that the only way to take indy up is to hike the entire run?
my now deceased cat was named indy. he lived a long 20 years and died about 2 years ago. he was a good cat

Border collie golden retriever mix 👍🐕
Where are you from? Where is this resort? Insane wievs 😊
Its alpe d'huez in France, unfortunately shut this year due to covid, but I can still hike up!
You are doing good movies,I like this channel. I am from Poland, I would like to ride there sometime, much of sun and beatufiul wievs 🙂
Do they let dogs generally on the slopes or do you have a special pass since you work there?
This was when the resort was shut due to covid, so I hiked up! However on quiet weeks they do allow dogs up on gondolas.
@@malcolmmoore You have one of the happiest dogs in the world!!
Great, but it's high time you taught Indy to snowboard.
I've tried him on a sledge with very little success!
Is that a splitboard you used for this descent?
Yeah, it makes the hike up much easier, but to be honest, its probably not something I'll use all that much when lifts open back up!

Watch out that the dog doesn't exhaust himself. Dogs tend to overexert and get a heartache.
