Trump’s sharpie actually make sense when you realize he’s a celebrity, not a politician. He’s probably used sharpies on every signature he’s signed for the past 35+ years.
Lols I work in legal and you actually want to be somewhat picky about which pen you sign important documents with. A lot of the cheaper brands skip randomly and/or it doesn’t show up as well when scanned. It can look bad if it skips cause you basically have to draw over your signature again and it might appear forged
I’m sure there is a supply chain lag there. Everything at the fed level has some lag time between leadership because, even a pen swap, takes more paperwork than buying a car

The terrifying thing about the pen world is that top of the line pens actually start at ~$300 and up. Premium pens usually run ~$400-$500, maybe topping out at around $800. And limited and special edition pens start at $1k. Crazy how quickly it can turn into such an expensive hobby/interest.
