Only 75 subscribers?? I was genuinly watching the vid thinking this was a big channel. Dude you have the talent, keep the hard work, you deserve greatness
This game is definitely worth buying. I’m on it from sun up to sun down almost everyday. It’s addicting! The only issue I have is the build limit. It’s very annoying when you can’t put anything else in your park once you reach 100%
Defiantly worth it! This is all I have played in the past year. My wife and I have a UA-cam channel as well dedicated to planet coaster. Great video and just subbed
@@Szopmatut my girlfriend likes puzzles and lego builds and she was like I wanna game on the computer also and this popped up on steam probably perfect once she gets it
Great video thanks! I think machine performance would be my number 1 factor if I was new to PlanCo. Game lag really has a huge impact on game enjoyment and what can be achieved. I gave up for a year on my old machine as it was just impossible to play when building anything beyond one themed area in a park. I then upgraded my laptop to an apple M1 Max and I can now run even the larger parks on lower graphics settings with decent frame rates. Also, worth noting that Planet Coaster 2 is coming probably in 2024 and many are predicting there will be improvements with the game architecture and how it will be optimised to run better.
@Game Grader Theres a Heatmap function for the coasters which can be turned on to show the different stats along the track Very helpful to understand what the game is considering as a good/ bad part of the coaster
Back in the late 1980s (I am old.) Maxis had a game called SimEarth. In the manual classified it as a software toy rather than a game. A ball is a toy. You can do anything with a ball, throw it, bounce it, kick it. You set the goals. Basketball is a game. It has rules, objectives, and an end point. While Planet Coaster has a campaign and challenges, it shines when you use it as a toy and the only limit is what you can dream. It's Theme Park Lego. It's Walt Disney Minecraft As you can tell, I love the toy.
Is it worth buying? Absolutely. Planet Coaster is creatively rewarding, and you can spend hours on things like coaster stations. But this recommendation comes with some warnings: 1) The pathing in PC is absolute rubbish and produces endless frustration. If there’s ever a Planet Coaster 2, this is the biggest issue Frontier needs to address. 2) You will need a higher-end PC and a top-tier video card, as Planet Coaster is a resource hog, even compared to other modern games, such as first-person shooters. Planet Coaster is quite capable of stress and overheating even a higher-end PC. 3) The controls in general are frustrating. It’s as though you have to trick the game into doing what you want it to do. 4) You will experience plenty of crashes in Planet Coaster. 5) If you’re invested in the game, time will vanish.
3:55 ... I can't believe I didn't realize that was how you make longer stations. admitedly, I can only play around an hour at a time, cause my computer seems to struggle with the game.
Great review and I can totally agree with your points! One thing I'd like to add: Even though the coaster builder might be a bit overwhelmingand unintuitive at the beginning, you will appretiate the possibilities by the time you get completly into it. Same goes for scenery. The path-builder on the other hand is just... seriously it's just bad. Nothing feels intuitive about it and a lot of technics are guaranteed to give you cramps. Especially building stairs and bridges is unnecessarily complicated which annoys me even more, since I love building around rivers and mountains. When it comes to DLC, I'm currently buying every month up to 2 Add-ons. It gives enough time to get fully into the new content and keeps the expenses in moderate levels 👌
I love the beginning of challenge mode, but you're right. It gets too easy too quick. I just tried harder mode, that just seems impossible in the beginning though hahhaa
I'm considering buying it now it's on 95% discount and I have an RTX 2060 and a i5-9600k with 16 GB of RAM. My biggest concern is the performance as I usually bother a bit when games can't keep up due to engine. I am bit picky on this aspect so I wanted to ask, maybe they polished a bit the game in this or more than one aspect throughout all this years. What do you think?
A 1080ti is not a high end pc, that's four generations of cards ago. If you want to run on max settings you're probably looking at a gpu thats only a generation old or the current series and plenty of ram (16gb or higher). My 3090 with a ryzen 3900 does pretty well at 4k. I think you'd just need to upgrade your gpu to eliminate your performance issues.
No, you can't be saying you're on a high-end pc when you only have a 1080 rtx wtf, thats driving away people with actual normal pcs. 1080 is pretty low end, unless u got it more a decade ago when it came out
I just discovered this game in 2022 and the graphics are still superior to newer games. Citi skylines 2.just came out and I'm wondering how the graphics look like a 10 year old game. Sometimes I watch Planet Coaster roller coaster videos on UA-cam and wonder if it's real or a game. Def worth it in 2023.
For me, the lack of a classic tutorial caused me to abandon the game after a few minutes - bought it 4 years ago and quit after 42 minutes, never re-installed since then. Yes, there are tons of help files, but it's not the same. A tutorial should introduce new users to the game, give them hints and tips about how to get off to a good start, which areas to pay special attention to. In Planet Coaster, the game just drops you off, as if saying "alright, here's your new property. You've decided to build a theme park and all the tools needed are now at your disposal, good luck! Oh, and if you're ever in doubt about something, we've included a comprehensive encyclopedia. Have fun!"
The fps issue is just not fair to point out. Ita obvious that the games engine at some point will strugge to render so many objects and cpu to control so many guests. Also the engine is 7 years old now? Its just obvious and at this point we just cant say its a negative. If i start up rct3 and start building like crazy i will get the same result
I remember when I first installed this when it came out on gamepass and I was so excited as I haven’t played a good theme park game in years but I quickly realised within the first 15 mins it another sims 4, great customisation but the gameplay and challenge isn’t there and I hope planet zoo doesnt follow the same path. Great review 👍🏻
any suggestion on a game like this that is hard i was hoping this game would have a bigger difficulty to make it rather than what this game provides are there any games people think would add more of the challenging aspect
Unfortunately if you are looking fot a real tycoon theme park game then you wont find any. The themenpark games out there right now do not have the in depth managing aspects
I purchased the game and all of the additions and I can only play for a few minutes before it freezes and blackout and I have to reboot my entire computer. The Steam company has no customer support to tell me how to avoid this problem - this game is not cheap and therefore I lost quite a bit of money. I played RTC Tycoon for years and looked forward to the more realistic Planet Coaster I saw on UA-cam since RTC never upgraded. I welcome any help that UA-camrs have about this freezing issue.

5 years old and still the best game of its type on the market. My only cons are the path system can be a little frustrating at times and that the building system can be very complicated for beginners. But other than that it’s a fantastic game. I’ve spent over 500 hours on it since I got thePC version during the lockdown and have enjoyed every minute of it. Can’t wait for Planet Coaster 2

1080ti isn't bad compared to 4060ti. It was a high end many years ago. All so-called high end computers will turn low end pretty quickly. LOL
