as a british person i appreciate you not americanising your content. i love the typical british darker humour and its nice to see it on a sims channel since ive been playing since sims 1 and its always felt super american and most sims youtubers are also american, having a british viewpoint on things is refreshing and reflects a lot of what i feel about the game

I’m so happy I found your channel, you quickly became my favourite Sims 4 content creator. Your authentically and commitment to being who you are is rare. I’m one of those people who buy every DLC because I have FOMO however I totally agree on your assessment on the current quality of Sims 4. I didn’t play it for 4 years after it came out because I loved SIMS 3 and was shocked with how little the game offered out of the gate. Mods have saved the SIms 4 game for me.

This is why I like channels like yours, I appreciate the honesty and, maybe it's because I'm from Europe as well, but I never felt offended with anything you said even when I disagreed. You'll rarely find people you agree with 100%, it's ok to still like someone while disagreeing on a subject every now and then.

I love how you light up talking about other games you like to play. It would be fine to add in games or content of games you like to play so it takes away from the frustrating things from the sims 4. I don't mind sims 4 because I dont know any better than sims 4. I havent played sims 3 for example. But Im not constantly playing sims. I recently got hooked on genshin impact. There is alot of negativity around this game as well. But I just chill and enjoy whatever I like. And swap games whenever I want. So if switching things up a bit will give you energy and make your job more enjoyable Id say go for it!😊

The honesty bit is so relatable. I don’t like being fake, even when I probably should be. And honestly I really appreciate when other people are straight forward and I don’t have to guess how they’re feeling or what they’re thinking. Navigating the weird social rules about positivity can be exhausting IMO

As a one-time major Swiftie, your opinion on Taylor's music makes me happy. She was the musician for my early teenage years, I used to run home and watch the DVD for the Speak Now tour *daily* ,this woman had my heart. It started going down hill for me with Red to be honest, I didn't hate the album by any means, saw her on tour and love 70% of the songs, but Speak Now was just too perfect for me. Then when she released Reputation my love for her music was on life support. Lover was an extremely boring album for me, she won me back slightly with some songs on Folklore, but then she released Evermore and i was like "yup, she's gone." I still buy her albums because I have a collecting problem (and the little teenage girl in me still has hope the old Taylor would return) but her music lately has been awful and bland, in my opinion.
Reputation is her best album in my opinion as well, and I think some of her older songs are tacky (ex: Picture to Burn, Mean) but they do have a charm of innocence. however, there’s only so much of old Taylor swift you can listen to before getting same old same old vibes. reputation however is so varied, lover is varied, and folklore and evermore are objectively super well made. midnights is still a well made album as well
@@anonymouslol7010 I can't say any of those albums are "objectively" well made, when it comes to which of Taylor's music is better it's all subjective. Also, varied doesn't mean good. One can have an album full of a bunch of random sounds making it very varied, doesn't mean its good music. However, on the topic of variety, old Taylor was *much* more varied than current Taylor. I disagree very much with old Taylor having the same vibe, Enchanted is very different from Hey Stephen, Sparks Fly is very different from Our Song. They're the same in terms of themes of love, but different genres and different vibes completely. Even within each album there was so much variety e.g. in "Fearless" Tell me why, white horse, breathe, jump then fall, the best day - all completely different. "Speak Now" was as varied as Taylor gets, different tempos, different genres, different themes. You only say its tacky because it sounds cheesy to you now due to the use of language associated with children e.g. mean. The lyricism in her old music is 100% better than her new songs. Folklore had some very good writing, but midnights was absolutely awful. I had a listening party when the album came out, with people that don't usually listen to Taylor so there was less bias, and when it finished we all had the same "that was underwhelming" opinion. We couldn't tell when one song had ended and another started because there was barely anything different between them. If we are talking about variety, I would say Midnights was her most unvaried album.
Speaking of other SimsTubers, I think that you and StephO would be the most amazing collab. I know she's very introverted, so she might be hard to convince, but you and she just share the same vibe and would be so good together

Im british so your sense of humour resonates with me. Sarcasm and dry wit speaks to me. I don't find your content offensive or ragey, just honest. And not in that mean way that people hide behind honesty to be cruel. You are saying what a lot of us feel about the sims in its current state. Sure we can pretend that all is well and that the game runs perfect and is polished to perfection but that would just be lying. Calling out EA and the sims team isn't hate, it's criticism that hopefully they can take on board and use it to improve the game for everyone. When you've potentially paid over a grand for a game and all its dlc, i think the least you deserve is a game that plays well and has plenty of content to enjoy.
Both you and lilsimsie are two of my favorite youtubers. I always watch the reviews through both channels and I can find points to agree with both. I do tend to feel very positive about the sims packs (mostly because I don't buy them all lol) but I also love to be critical and be able to point out when something is not that good. The balance is gold

For the record, I would watch Satch without the sims anytime as well. Love your Sims content, but I also enjoy these types of videos and your vlogs. I would watch Satch on Paint Drying, and I'm sure others would too! Making content on things you are passionate about is important, and if its good - the algorithim has a way of catching up.

Pls don't ever change the sarcasm or blunt honesty. It's so refreshing to hear someone accept that you can enjoy & critique something. You dont take everything so serious, and i love it! I'm american & its kinda exhausting when every mole hill is turned into a mountain, or everything has to fit into a perfect aesthetic.
ngl I agree on the t swift question. I think its more of because I grew out of her songs and I just prefer her old country/country-pop songs (back when I used to relate to teenager stuff lol). You're not alone on this Satch!

I love how you light up talking about other games you like to play. It would be fine to add in games or content of games you like to play so it takes away from the frustrating things from the sims 4. I don't mind sims 4 because I dont know any better than sims 4. I havent played sims 3 for example. But Im not constantly playing sims. I recently got hooked on genshin impact. There is alot of negativity around this game as well. But I just chill and enjoy whatever I like. And swap games whenever I want. So if switching things up a bit will give you energy and make your job more enjoyable Id say go for it!😊

The honesty bit is so relatable. I don’t like being fake, even when I probably should be. And honestly I really appreciate when other people are straight forward and I don’t have to guess how they’re feeling or what they’re thinking. Navigating the weird social rules about positivity can be exhausting IMO

Even though I look for the good in things more than the negative, I love this channel because of the good, and Satch is the good. Not specifically wanting to be negative, and more of a realist than most people I've met in my life.

As a one-time major Swiftie, your opinion on Taylor's music makes me happy. She was the musician for my early teenage years, I used to run home and watch the DVD for the Speak Now tour *daily* ,this woman had my heart.
It started going down hill for me with Red to be honest, I didn't hate the album by any means, saw her on tour and love 70% of the songs, but Speak Now was just too perfect for me.
Then when she released Reputation my love for her music was on life support. Lover was an extremely boring album for me, she won me back slightly with some songs on Folklore, but then she released Evermore and i was like "yup, she's gone."
I still buy her albums because I have a collecting problem (and the little teenage girl in me still has hope the old Taylor would return) but her music lately has been awful and bland, in my opinion.
For me Reputation is her best album :) but to each their own.
Reputation is her best album in my opinion as well, and I think some of her older songs are tacky (ex: Picture to Burn, Mean) but they do have a charm of innocence. however, there’s only so much of old Taylor swift you can listen to before getting same old same old vibes. reputation however is so varied, lover is varied, and folklore and evermore are objectively super well made. midnights is still a well made album as well
Midnights is atrocious but her two precious folk album had some good songs
@@anonymouslol7010 I can't say any of those albums are "objectively" well made, when it comes to which of Taylor's music is better it's all subjective.
Also, varied doesn't mean good. One can have an album full of a bunch of random sounds making it very varied, doesn't mean its good music. However, on the topic of variety, old Taylor was *much* more varied than current Taylor.
I disagree very much with old Taylor having the same vibe, Enchanted is very different from Hey Stephen, Sparks Fly is very different from Our Song. They're the same in terms of themes of love, but different genres and different vibes completely. Even within each album there was so much variety e.g. in "Fearless" Tell me why, white horse, breathe, jump then fall, the best day - all completely different.
"Speak Now" was as varied as Taylor gets, different tempos, different genres, different themes.
You only say its tacky because it sounds cheesy to you now due to the use of language associated with children e.g. mean.
The lyricism in her old music is 100% better than her new songs. Folklore had some very good writing, but midnights was absolutely awful. I had a listening party when the album came out, with people that don't usually listen to Taylor so there was less bias, and when it finished we all had the same "that was underwhelming" opinion. We couldn't tell when one song had ended and another started because there was barely anything different between them. If we are talking about variety, I would say Midnights was her most unvaried album.

Im british so your sense of humour resonates with me. Sarcasm and dry wit speaks to me. I don't find your content offensive or ragey, just honest. And not in that mean way that people hide behind honesty to be cruel. You are saying what a lot of us feel about the sims in its current state. Sure we can pretend that all is well and that the game runs perfect and is polished to perfection but that would just be lying. Calling out EA and the sims team isn't hate, it's criticism that hopefully they can take on board and use it to improve the game for everyone. When you've potentially paid over a grand for a game and all its dlc, i think the least you deserve is a game that plays well and has plenty of content to enjoy.
Both you and lilsimsie are two of my favorite youtubers. I always watch the reviews through both channels and I can find points to agree with both. I do tend to feel very positive about the sims packs (mostly because I don't buy them all lol) but I also love to be critical and be able to point out when something is not that good. The balance is gold

Being an American I agree 100% with everything you said. It's kind of exhausting living in such an angry polarized country but we have some good things to our culture too.
For the record, I would watch Satch without the sims anytime as well. Love your Sims content, but I also enjoy these types of videos and your vlogs. I would watch Satch on Paint Drying, and I'm sure others would too! Making content on things you are passionate about is important, and if its good - the algorithim has a way of catching up.

you're my favourite sims youtuber, not to mention one of my favourite youtubers in general. you're so transparent and honest, it never feels like i'm watching a gimicky performance. and i love that. as a european, i can totally get behind the satirical humour (20:51), it's just so refreshing and funny (plus, i'm balkan, our humour is much worse, trust me, haha)! it can be frustrating when americans try to force their social culture on you... it's a common thing online, unfortunately. but so thank you for staying true to yourself, you're an absolute joy to watch!
oh, and i'd love to see you play the other games you mentioned, like tycoon ones. by the sound of it, you must've played zoo tycoon and rollercoaster tycoon (13:28) which are just so nostalgic. i'm also in love with persona 5, it would be awesome to watch you talk about it. that's just my personal hype as a viewer though.

Two things. One, I’m like you when it comes to Taylor Swift. Love her older stuff, not a fan of all the newer stuff that she’s done. I think it’s great that she wanted to go a different way and it’s working for her but don’t like it that much. Secondly, that whole thing you said about British people complaining the way they do I finally get it. I’ve known one British person for years and he’s just like that 😂
