That's one of the problems with the the Fords in general. They are such a private hidden family that it's rare to see one of them at all. Hardly anyone can get in contact with them. Unlike other owners like Jerry Jones and the Roddy family for the Steelers that have a open, active involved relationship with their players, the Fords don't do this with their players.
Lions front office has always been in an ivory tower, hearing from somebody up there on a regular basis would mean the world. Hell even if it's Rod "I don't know anything about football" Wood trying to give a "check the report" answer would got longer than what we are getting now
Its gotta be tough for TJ to try and sit there and answer your questions knowing he has to go back to that locker room, face that Coach, and face those owners. I cannot picture him giving anywhere near the answers you want knowing he has to go back there.
It wouldn't matter to me. Maybe Martha hasn't gotten up there and answered questions, but I've seen the "aww shucks we gotta do better" speech too many times. All I want to see is good football. Answering questions on the podium are worthless if it doesn't get results on the field.
I have a lot of respect for Martha. She is a 92 year old woman running an NFL team and showing up to every game. Not to make excuses, but we do have to remember that she is 92 years old. Bob Quinn is the one who needs to take the podium
Issue is, back in mid-2015 when she announced that Lombardi/GM/President were fired, she didn't take questions and she read a pre-typed document. I feel that she's too old to have the energy to have a Q&A, and that's the issue. I don't care if she truly cares about the franchise and it's future, I care that the owner can directly communicate with people while doing so. You can't care about something and refuse to listen/talk to people with input on it. I like Martha and the fact that she made moves in mid-2015. I've never really been a "Fords should sell the team" kind of guy. But if ownership DOES have a say in these things, but CANNOT communicate with the public, there needs to be a line drawn. If the Lions don't make any staffing changes/firings before the 2018 draft, I'm changing my NFL allegiance until something big is done. There's no point for a working adult to spend their time rooting for a mismanaged team.
I had real dreams of a division title this year. Especially after Rodgers got hurt. I didn't see Case Keenum being this good and I didn't see the Lions blowing wins that were right there for them against Pittsburgh and the Vikings. I'm 31 and they haven't had a division title since before I can remember. I think 30 other teams have had division titles since. It's horrible.

Why is it that Martha cares enough to not allow the lions to be broadcasted on 97.1 because Mike rips them all the time, but doesnt care enough to fire Caldwell so Mike doesnt have to rip on the lions
This is just dumb, the Giants are 2-10 and mathematically eliminated from post-season play. The Lions could conceivably still finish 10-6. They won't, but at least let them fail the whole way first, an interim coach isn't going to save the season.
the ford family needs to grow some balls and fire Caldwell. its obvious this guy is not the coach that can take us to the next level .lets see what Austin can do the rest of the year and look forward to the dtaft .they better draft a running back .
