Welcome to the Vorwerk family. I never liked Vorwerk looking at the pictures, but when I got VK135 along with another vacuum I saw what they are all about. Now I am hooked. Light, easy, convenient and powerfull. Very enjoyable to use. I must say that I was blown away. Twisting hard floor nozzle is my favorite.
I absolutely love German vacuum cleaners! If you were ever wondering how it is pronounced in German. It is For-verk. Brilliant video as always!! Dankeschön 🌟🌟
You have no idea how excited i am for you and to finally have a video from an (experienced and learned) vacuum cleaner enthusiast such as yourself! Have loads of fun with this, Ive got a VK150 myself and i absolutely love it, i bought it refurbished though because i wanted that particular model but it looked new anyways so i was pleased!
Now THAT is a modern vacuum cleaner! Sleek and streamlined as opposed to the bulky industrial look of a Dyson. I heard that the founders of Sebo were originally designers at Vorwerk. This Kobold system kind of reminds me of Apple’s industrial design philosophy: simple lines, white colour, cool modern understated graphics and lights and buttons. Would love to see these vacs in North America!
You seem to be right: SEBO was established in 1978 by two German engineers, Klaus Stein and Heinz Kaulig, who were seeking to build a reliable, powerful and easy to use commercial upright vacuum cleaner. Klaus Stein had previously worked at Vorwerk, the manufacturer of the Kobold vacuum cleaner since 1929. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebo
Just pronounce it "Forwerk" because it is a german brand and name and in german alphabet "V" is pronounced as "F", so just "Forwerk" and it's mean something like pre-work but it is not exact translation :)
Der Alex, would the W sound like a V? I’ve been told that the proper way to say the name of the car is Wolksvagen when pronounced as it would be using English letter usage.
The mattress tool with the green vibrating plastic tubes on the bottom is similar to the strai suction rug tool supplied with the Eureka Roto-Matic straight suction canister vacuums along with a normal straight suction rug tool and a bristled floor tool in the 1960s.
Hi Roger, nice to hear from you. Love your channel BTW. I won’t be getting a Rainbow or a Royal as I don’t like them, but I will try a Dyson V14, V16, V18, V2000 etc etc as soon as they are launched.
Hey roger. Amazing cleaner. I’ve loved vorwerks for around 30 years. After mum had all her hoover turbopower cleaners she got a vorwerk I think it was the VK120 or possibly the 119 I’ve got a few myself. They are brilliant The older ones have really low power Motors but it was still incredible at what they picked up, especially pet hair. They used to have a turbo tool very very similar to the Kirby zip brush. Enjoy your vorwerk
In my experience of owning and using hundreds of vacuum cleaners, quality goes down. It doesn’t go up and it doesn’t stay the same as it was 40 years ago. The head on this model failed within a year and had to be sent back to Vorwerk for repair.
I look forward to looking at more videos. I purchased a Vorwerk in 1987 when they were first marketed in the USA . It was by far the best vacuum and carpet cleaning system I’ve ever owned and am hoping I can find someone in Germany to send me one .
That is one outrageous piece of kit! If the combination floor sweeper and mop performs up to spec, that machine is worth it! My Miele along with my ladybug come it at about the same Dosh! Problem is, I need a warehouse to store both devices! Still, this new unit you have Roger will also need a close closet! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha can’t wait make me smile cheers… Keith
Wow that looks amazing Roger, can't wait to see you demonstrate it. I bet the blades on the cleaner head will stop hair getting wrapped around the brush roll like they do on newer Shark machines.
it cost a lot but am eager to get it after i got a home test to how much it got out of the carpet after i had used my own the day before, he also commented that it suck so much air you could use it to clean out the air. eager to feel the difference
The EB is the worst part. The tiny brushroll gets entangled and blocked with hair in no time, it has no edge cleaning. you can deactivate automatic mode with the handle switch - but to reactivate it, you have to shut down and start up the unit. I'm still wondering how they could come on the market with this - has there been no testing in actual house cleaning?
Hi it looks an amazing vacuum cleaner could you put the link up where you got it from I would really appreciate it as looking for a new vacuum and this looks to be what I am looking for
Wow expensive, I know they have a high end reputation, be interesting to see its performance . I imagine you could show a salesperson some demo tips Roger 😁
I could see Kirby coming out with their own variation of this. Light weight direct air machine with on board hose, gear driven belt, with the capability of configuring it into a canister, upright and handheld like the Miele Triflex plus their 13 attachments.
My first Kobold was a VK 135, and i felt in love with Vorwerk ! Amazing vacuum cleaners, don't want to change for another brand. I have a VK 140 since a few years, and even better, more compact and lightweight. It seems that the new VK 200 looks bigger and heavy.. I also know that another new one was released only in Italy ( VK 220 if I'm right ) but can't see any difference. I'm looking after your next video to see yours in action !
I bought one in about 1987. it as fantastic. I used on my cleaning jobs. factories and houses for about 5 years. picked up EVERYTHING.. LIGHTWEIGHT EASY.. and what came out of the bed that I,d always hoovered. It shocked me and ws the reason I bought it in the first place. One flat i cleaned had a washing machine at top of the stairs. I hoovered the stairs. never noticed a leak from it until hoover stopped. and that was the end of it. needed new motor and didnt have the money. The best hoover ive ever had. Miele second best. then Sebo.
For £1500 I’d expect it to come preassembled and have that power hose cable integrated. Seems needlessly complicated. That said looking forward to seeing it in action.
@@ibaisaic Not widely available, like the Hoover Concept and Hoover Junior 375 tested here: ua-cam.com/video/s2GBi_wuATs/v-deo.html ? Hmm. never mind, I wouldn't want you to deprive yourself of your other kidney!
I have both kidneys thank you and all my internal organs are present and correct. The main difference the Junior and Concept Two is I wanted to have those machines in my collection.
In Britain most people fit wall to wall carpets in most rooms. Yet In many other countries these are rare. Why is Britain like this? The Vowerk idea of carrying the main unit over your shoulder and using hand held tools can be effective in a hard floor environment. I have tried the Korbosan cleaning snow recently with my old VK122. It did not seem that effective.
OMG did you sell your body for that...... I did have an earlier vorverk, however I soon swapped once I discovered sebo, I did love my vorverk, however I never used the tools, I found it too long to change from upright to using tools, was no good for me as a daily hoover..... hope you enjoy.......
I've got a question: I bought my Vorwerk VK200 two weeks ago, and so far I love it. Especially the smell of it is incredible. With the automatic roller brush I got the issue that when I vacuum and then but it into parking position, the machine stops. Which is pretty usefull. However when I release it from the parking position, sometimes the brush roller starts to blink red as if it was blocked. Then I have to switch the machine off and on again. Is it because I hold it too hard or release it too slow? You also got that issue sometimes?
Perhaps you are pressing on the head with too much pressure when you put the handle into the operating position. I don’t use the standby feature much as I prefer to switch the cleaner off and then park it.
I own this thing and I don't like it at all. The automatic brush is driving me nuts while vacuuming area rugs on hard floors, the bag change indicator comes on far too late, the EB brush is only suitable for very short pile and bogs down or blocks entirely on medium or high pile. It's also strange that the motor will only run on maximum speed ("3") while using the EB, which is already too hard to push, and will give you lesser suction power on 3 when using the machine in tool mode or when using the hardfloor brush. I bought this for my collection, but stopped using it after filling up one bag. This is the worst machine Vorwerk has ever made. It's overengineered, but made of inferior electronics and plastic parts on the inside and a pain to use.
In IRELAND this costs 1400 EURO. I can hire someone to do the cleaning for me for this HUGE money !! My 70 euro Bosch vacuum does 90 % of what this machine can do.
The carpet cleaner attachment is a joke. They charge €129,00 for this plasticky thing. The older power driven VTF carpet cleaners are doing a much much much better job.
I don’t have TOO much money. I don’t smoke, drink, take drugs, buy lots of clothes, have children or expensive holidays, so what else am I going to spend my money on.

Vorwerk vacuums would NEVER work on American carpeting, because they were built for European carpet.
@@user-vacgod2739 But surely Vorwerk could design a heavy duty power head that would be more robust to be able to clean deep pile broadloom.

No, the brush roll does require frequent cleaning on this model, but I still love it.
First the Dyson V11 (and I agree, it is overpriced) now the Vorwerk VK200. You really are spoiling us.
You should do a review on the Vorwerk canister/cylinder.
My mother owned no more than three vacuums in her entire life so far--all Vorwerks (114 c. 1963, 117 c. 1980, 132 c. 2000.)
Have you forgotten about this vacuum? We still haven’t got the demo so looking forward to this vacuum xx
I'm guessing they put rubber blades on the brushroll for pet hair pickup??? 🤔
What happened with this unit? I have not seen any more videos of it.
