I am from norway, in theory we dont have life sentences here, (there is a version of it where you get maximum 21Y and reevaluated but there is no sentenced to life impriosnment) and a motto guards and wardens have here is "Every inmate will eventually become someone's neighbour, hence the goal of prisons is to help people become good neighbours" The education for the job of prison guard is much longer and much more focused on the skills of a social worker than a bouncer. (Same goes for police here). Judges like Frank and Laywers like the one here are the people America needs to go the right direction. When you treat people like human beings they act like human beings, if ypu treat them like an animal, beast, monster, how can you expect them not to behave like an animal beast or monster. Overwhelmed with joy at how much compassion exists in Judge Caprio's court room. If we could only expand it around the world.
If every judge in America really cared about the people like this judge America's prison system would not be over ran by people whos victims of a money hungry system and judges.
One of the main problems is that most people don't even get to see a judge. They get pressured into just pleading guilty and they get locked up.
Definitely in cases like this one dropping the tickets is a good thing, but if no tickets were ever prosecuted then I think you would find driving on the road to be a much more dangerous place.

I loved this. Just because you’ve been incarcerated, doesn’t mean you should have to be treated like an animal when you’re out. Everyone deserves a second chance as long as they’re willing to put in the effort to change.
everybody DOESN"T deserve a second chance . some guys deserve to be hanged in the town square for all to see . but guys like this who are genuine and sincerely show that they're good for it deserve more than a chance , they deserve some good breaks like judge caprio gave this man
I am from norway, in theory we dont have life sentences here, (there is a version of it where you get maximum 21Y and reevaluated but there is no sentenced to life impriosnment) and a motto guards and wardens have here is "Every inmate will eventually become someone's neighbour, hence the goal of prisons is to help people become good neighbours"
The education for the job of prison guard is much longer and much more focused on the skills of a social worker than a bouncer. (Same goes for police here). Judges like Frank and Laywers like the one here are the people America needs to go the right direction. When you treat people like human beings they act like human beings, if ypu treat them like an animal, beast, monster, how can you expect them not to behave like an animal beast or monster. God bless you we need more good people who see the potential in others.
Yes, off course!!! But if you do the crime, do the time!!!
The entire point of lawful punishment and incarceration should always be rehabilitation.
@chris j ????? Everyone deserves a second chance???? I think there are probably 40 million victims and victims loved ones that would disagree. That statement is obtuse and so are you if you really believe that. You clearly live a victimless life.
