For more bandaids.......or for whatever you deem necessary.

Use that moneys towards a Koul Tools EZ-ON hose press… no need for bandaids save you from tearing the thumb-skin. Makes the process so nice. 👍

Your willingness to show, admit, and explain errors or mistakes - and then show the resolve - is so admirable. That honesty (in you and the projects) is what sets you aside from the rest. Much respect. (And your humor always brightens my day - Thanks!)

Sarah... A&P/IA here. I don't know who told you not to use the teflon-lined hose, but you absolutely CAN use it for fuel. Its aircraft equivalent is Aeroquip 666. It can be used for almost any liquid. And yes, the fittings are different. A tip for installing the fittings onto the hose: hold the hose in a vise with Vee-jaws, then use a powerful (1/2") drill motor and a socket to screw the fittings on. MUCH easier than trying to do it by hand.
I love your videos but sometimes I cringe watching you struggle with something. I wish I could help you and give you what I've learned in 40 years of building airplanes, cars and motorcycles. All the best to you....

Fellow AF vet here, maintainer in fact. I just made some -6 hose a week ago. In my case, the piece that “threads” onto the outer part of the hose was left hand thread. May want to try that, in my case, it went on very easily. Also, I taped mine with electrical tape then cut it with a death wheel, easy peasy.

So cool / I had a 1976 Celica GT and put the guts of a 1986 Supra motor and guts with big breaks in it in the 90s . No joke , I could take a 30mph corner at 70mph and feel the tires side bark as we took the corner . What fun memories . PS / I would love to see this build in the tribute White with black running board GT paint and the triple Japanese rally racing stripe going over the body .

I, personally, am not in any hurry to see the Celica run for the simply fact, waiting, provides more amazing content for us and like Sarah said towards the end of this video, this gives her more time to do another once over to ensuring the first start is a success. To Sarah...a few recommendations. If possible, I would mount the oil filter block/oil cooler upside-down so you can prime/fill the filter with oil during oil changes and it would be a lot less of a mess. Also, don't forget to lube the oil filter gasket.
