Wukong woke this bro up in the morning. The diversity of in-game bosses keeps him happy. Oh-yeah, baby, isn't that sweet? Them nose ring Deities, time for a staff-whip. 😂😂😂
some details about wukong : In Journey to the West, the Heavenly Court's suppression of Sun Wukong can indeed be interpreted as a metaphor for the complex relationship between rulers and rebels. This metaphor reflects the theme of the rulers in feudal society suppressing the forces that challenge authority, and also shows the questioning of the nature of power and its legitimacy. Metaphor and Interpretation The symbol of Heaven: In Journey to the West, Heaven represents the ruling class in feudal society and symbolizes supreme power and order. However, this power and order is not absolute justice, but a tool to maintain its own ruling status. Many gods and officials in Heaven showed ruthlessness and even used dishonorable means in the conflict with Sun Wukong, which reflects the true face of the rulers when facing challenges. The symbol of Sun Wukong: Sun Wukong is a symbol of resistance to authority. His unruly and desire for freedom represent resistance to the injustice of feudal society. Sun Wukong dared to challenge the authority of Heaven and proclaimed himself "The Great Sage Equaling Heaven", which was a bold challenge to the existing order. Although his resistance was eventually suppressed, his unyielding spirit in the process is impressive. Suppression and transformation: The suppression of Sun Wukong by the Heavenly Court ended with the appearance of Tathagata Buddha. This process can be seen as a process of controlling and transforming the rebels. The five hundred years under the Five Elements Mountain were a period of punishment and reflection for Sun Wukong, which also reflected the rulers' attempt to eliminate the resistance through punishment and transformation and maintain social order and stability. Manifestation of complex relationships: In the story, the behavior of the Heavenly Court was not entirely just, and Sun Wukong's resistance was not entirely reasonable. This complexity reflects the contradictory relationship between the rulers and the rebels. The author may have expressed his thoughts on the complex relationship between power and resistance, order and freedom, and his criticism of unfair phenomena in social reality through this metaphor. Historical background and influence The Ming Dynasty was a period in Chinese history when the feudal system was relatively mature, but social contradictions were also gradually accumulating. As a literati in the Ming Dynasty, Wu Chengen may not directly express political criticism, but in his works, he reflects his observation and thinking on the power structure in real society through symbols and metaphors. Through the confrontation between Sun Wukong and the Heavenly Court, Journey to the West expresses the eternal theme between individuals and power, freedom and oppression, a theme that has a profound impact on Chinese history and culture. Therefore, these metaphors in Journey to the West are not just simple mythological stories, but also an in-depth exploration of society and human nature. The means by which the Heavenly Court suppressed Sun Wukong to a certain extent reflect the complex and multi-layered strategies adopted by the rulers in maintaining power, while Sun Wukong's resistance represents a strong response to injustice and oppression.
There are many profound meanings that have not yet been introduced in the West. To some extent, the four disciples are the embodiment of a person's inner demons, and many of the obstacles on the journey to the West are the materialization of these inner demons.
Could you please talk about the COD matter, activition was nasty using community based marketing to profit and then shut down a loved project on the las minute.
Yo Asmon, been following your coverage on wukong for two years now. Do check out the smash stance skill tree with more detail. Because it has basically a riposte/counter attack that allows you to negate enemy attack, an extra option beside dodging. So it is really good and super rewarding against bosses, and extremely satisfying to pull off. (of course, huge dmg as well as great animation). Please check that out. Enjoying everything so far. Thanks!
Smash Stance is by far the best stance in the games take all the points and invest them in smash stance. I'm midway chapter 3 and it's the only stance I use. Once u do max out that stance put points in the rest of the stances. But play how u want to just giving info on what is helpful
I love that Asmongold is genuinely enjoying this game. I get it man. It’s one of those games that is challenging and forgiving in some ways like not losing progress if you die and still makes you feel very powerful. It’s like Devil May Cry made love to Ninja Gaiden and added a sprinkle of souls like with a better twist.
One dude’s justification for the “stolen goods” was - “if they didn’t want it to be stolen, they would prevented it from being stolen in the first place….”
I think it is going to come as a rude shock to some people that the game is much harder than the devs have made clear. I love souls-like games but I got a shock at how fast the difficulty ramps up but luckily the combat is really good
how? this game's too easy, you have too much utility and speed while the bosses are ds1 level of complexity, slow predictable moves with very few attack patterns. A baby can beat this game
Gotta press the heavy attack button in the chain of a light combo! (Right before you get hit) It's basically an advanced combo (but you need to unlock it first)
I've beaten every boss through 2 chapters with my brother including all secret/side bosses. The game is definitely easier than any FromSoft game but that's because when you do take the time to explore and upgrade the game makes it so it's not overly frustrating. I'm over way through the 3rd chapter and enjoying every second the game. Wukong will more than likely end up being my GotY.
@@WHIT3D3AGL3-qj7vm I just used a guide to make sure before the completion of each chapter I got all the collectibles and side bosses sadly there isn't a way to check in game
Life changing game what a foolish thing to say. No such game as "life changing" No.2 stop pretending this game is so amazing it's not it a very linear repetitive game with cheesy Chinese lore.
Whether you choose to kill certain bosses or let them survive at the last drop of blood will determine the final outcome. There are also various hidden equipment and levels that require many pre-trigger conditions.
The fictional world of 'Great Primordial' that Journey to the West and BM: Wukong takes place in has a ridiculous power ceiling. It's the type where an angry glance of a 'Saint' is equivalent to several big bang at his target, and it's not the even the peak. Jade Emperor of the Heavenly Court? Used to be the servant boy of a saint. Before he was a servant, he was a pebble floating in space the saint found on a trip. That saint used to be a cricket god before the creation of 'heaven and earth' by Pangu, the image of man. Chinese mythos is really cool tbh.
That's the cool thing about chinese fantasy novels, they have a massively tall power ceiling, which means there is tons and I mean tons of content. Their novels have thousands of chapters, you could be reading the same novel for a month straight and not finish it if you only read a few chapters.

They said in an interview when they first started creating the game, there were no digital assets in the market pertaining to Chinese temples for UE5. So they literally went around all over China scanning historical temples, I believe the count was well over 60 across the whole country. So when you see a visually stunning temple (especially in chapter 3) with an absurd amount of details. That’s because it’s straight out of a historical site. Heck even the engravings can be scanned and found in scriptures and buddhist hymns. That is why it has such an insane amount of support from Chinese players, because they recognize the effort Game Science put into details and historical correctness.
Sun Wukong was strong as hell. He bullied a dragon King into giving him the gold hooped staff. Wukong beat every general sent by heaven to capture him with ease. Only the Buda was able to fool Wukong and trap him in a mountain to stop his mischief. I am looking forward to playing this game😆

A waste of money unless that's truly all you can afford short term. But my friends and I compared my PC copy without RT on to their PS5 and they wept with jealousy, Lol. The PS5 looks good but my mid tier PC with a mediocre 4070@1440p is damn near lifelike. Tbh it's distracting trying to play the game with all the insane details jumping out at you, but naturally I wouldn't have it any other way...cheers.
It is said that Wukong has a hidden storyline where if you don't kill each boss when they have just a sliver of health left and manage to hold out for 2 minutes, the boss will surrender. They will then follow you, and all 2 million players can connect to the server together, invade the Celestial Palace (a hidden map), and fight against the heavens.
By the way, there is a giant hidden map or region waiting for all players to discover, which is related to the 3rd end. 😎 If you pass the game like most general players, you may explore or collect about 50% of this game.
Many people think that this game is very simple, but you are wrong. There are many different endings for this game. Removing the golden hoop from Wukong’s head is the best ending, and he finally gains his freedom.
I stuck in the first chapter for like five days, fighting the same boss using eight hours but still nothing. For people like me, This game is like extremely difficult😢😂. so I have no choice but to set my monkey having eternal life(which Wukon should have)
I think the part where they made this game less rpg , like for example you can’t explore a lot of places is because they wanted to help the player first time playing rpg having a easier game play, so you just stick to the path where you’re actually gonna end up with something.
I am so happy to see this game doing so well and being so good after all the BS that it received just because it was not made in the west.... which is also hilarious in a way considering that the main character is "travelling to the west"..
1:19:29 "Use the poll" I actually think the Stance system was a horrible mistake. When I play the game I never spec for multiple stances, it's just a waste of points, which means it never crossed my mind to stand on my poll to dodge the electric pulses. This game really should have just combined all three stances into a combo system.
I agree. I believe this is why I struggled a lot early on in the beginning hours of the game. I was really frustrated with the combat and understanding how the skills exactly worked like, resolute strike/sweeping gale/ and other stuff. I did a lot of respec and trouble shooting after chapter 2 and I don’t even have more than 3 skills invested into thrust stance, which is my preferred stance and it significantly improved my performance. It’s just to technical and like high maintenance for me trying to do light attacks then follow with a heavy and then immediately switch back and hold light attack to follow up with this and it’s really just a damn headache. Like no boss ever stays in place for more than 3 seconds to do all this combo shit on them. It’s a complete waste of time to build up combos just to do an insignificant amount of damage. To me it just felt like high risk, low reward investing all skill points in an any stance skill tree. Also the controls seem to have a lag input in the game too, so it was hard to execute the movesets I invested in. For example, I have to mash my R1 button several times to finally drink my gourd. And the quick slot for medicines.. pshh forget that shit. I just pause the game in the middle of combat and use it from the inventory screen.
"no boss ever stays in place for more than 3 seconds to do all this combo shit on them" Bingo. Smash stance is so delayed it rarely strikes the target. When I was fighting the tiger boss in chapter two it took about 20 attempts, 18 in smash stance, then I respec to thrust and beat him on my second try. And this is a problem shared with the entire Dark Souls genre, when I was fighting the Godskin Duo in Elden Ring I left the game stuck at that boss for over a year, then I return and re-spec into a greatsword with sweeping attacks that don't miss, lo and behold I beat the boss relatively quickly. These games are full of artificial difficulty. I still need to play Sekiro since that game is supposed to be more about reaction time and less about running around the boss arena on a wild goose chase.

10/10 on Steam. Wow. Is it truly deserved? Irdk but the insane sale numbers, the overwhelmingly positive criticism and tbh even right now, at the moment I am writing this over a MILLION people are playing that is as much as Dota 2 and CSGO 2 COMBINED, pretty much the 2 most famous games on steam atm AND even if you sprinkle in Starcraft 2, the most famous RTS of all times it is still not as much as BM: Wukong... The game is just excellent tbh like what 96% rating? That must be universally acclaimed right? This is an AAA game by every single definition and category, if you have to spend money on sth then it has to be this one right? The spiritual successor to Bloodborne and DS 3 no doubts truly an amazing game, if you have no exp in hack-n-slash games then it is very very likely that you won't even get past the first act tbh.
League, dota, and even Dragon Ball all this Monkey King(wu kong), a staff-wielding monkey. He is one of the most popular characters in Chinese mythology.
Yeah, I do agree the invisible walls are a detracting factor in the game, feels harmful to exploration because while most times it is an invisible wall, occasionally it won't be, and will instead be an area that is easy to miss due to the assumption it will be an invisible wall. I assume the game is this way because they wanted to focus their resources on recreating the fantasy of being Wukong to the fullest, I have really enjoyed the journey so far.
This game is fucking amazing. Visuals, art direction, music, combat, stellar boss encounters, good gameplay systems, super satisfying progression, enticing loot and even the English voice acting is pretty good. Goddamn
The only thing that bothers me about this game is the lack of impact the attacks feel. The enemies don't react to your hits at all. I wish the game had impact on enemies like the Horizon games do, where each hit has an effect on the enemy
they have already trade marked a few new "black myth" titles with other Chinese mythology figures such as Nerzha. There will be a series of these games
To be honest, some of the maps are almost overwhelmingly big. I thought that at first too, but you get to an area initially and you're like "fck me this place is giant". I do wish they differentiated it a bit better though, it's very easy to lose sense of where you are cause areas look so similar in some parts until you run around it enough.
The second tiger talking to you after it dies is the father of the first tiger. The mouse you are gonna talk to at the end of this video is a memory, a story that happened back then, and the same mouse with a head is it 500 years later.

@@Svoorhout85 I mean it’s true tho, you are going on the “journey to the west” trip! 🎉
😂😂
some details about wukong :
In Journey to the West, the Heavenly Court's suppression of Sun Wukong can indeed be interpreted as a metaphor for the complex relationship between rulers and rebels. This metaphor reflects the theme of the rulers in feudal society suppressing the forces that challenge authority, and also shows the questioning of the nature of power and its legitimacy.
Metaphor and Interpretation
The symbol of Heaven: In Journey to the West, Heaven represents the ruling class in feudal society and symbolizes supreme power and order.
Historical background and influence
The Ming Dynasty was a period in Chinese history when the feudal system was relatively mature, but social contradictions were also gradually accumulating.
Did you just AI generate this bruh, it also keeps repeating itself 😓
Does every story have to have layers upon layers of metaphor to be worthwhile? Can't we just enjoy an overpowered monkey doing cool shit?

Yo Asmon, been following your coverage on wukong for two years now. Do check out the smash stance skill tree with more detail. Because it has basically a riposte/counter attack that allows you to negate enemy attack, an extra option beside dodging. So it is really good and super rewarding against bosses, and extremely satisfying to pull off. (of course, huge dmg as well as great animation). Please check that out. Enjoying everything so far. Thanks!

I actually think the Stance system was a horrible mistake.
@@Creativem1nd69 Holy bibliography Batman!
(Thank you for replying to my comment, this made my day.)
"no boss ever stays in place for more than 3 seconds to do all this combo shit on them"
Bingo.

The amount of things or parts of the level I see him miss or not look for drives me nuts 😂
Is that the league Wukong? 😂
Dota
@@alphaglucopyranose6928 Thnaks for the answer. :)
Have a nice day.
League, dota, and even Dragon Ball all this Monkey King(wu kong), a staff-wielding monkey. He is one of the most popular characters in Chinese mythology.
Truly one of the games of all time
The invisible Walls are insane...
Goddamn
fuck me, I love the combat of this game
Yeah bro. It’s so sick that you just do the same exact combo for the entire game. I freaking love it! GOTY
@@Pressure115 I find it better than that boring ass heavy combat in normal souls. Feels like every sword weights 100 pounds.
@@Pressure115 Is this based on other people actually upgrading and implementing those combat upgrades as they progress, or just watching Asmon?
@@patrickboian8545there are actually fast acting weapons in ER.
@@nycxtile I know I was just giving him the same energy lol.
The only thing that bothers me about this game is the lack of impact the attacks feel. The enemies don't react to your hits at all. I wish the game had impact on enemies like the Horizon games do, where each hit has an effect on the enemy
This game is really diverse. Got all type of trans-animals in it. Very inclusive
IGN"OHHHHH NOOOOO"
The love story between Spider and Pig is true diversity hahahaha
@@monyetcerdik9177 and the bull demon and his wife
it could be even more diverse if they made the main caracter black 💀
@@pedronicolau9246 the main character is neither male or female, its born out of a stone, think about it lol
Asmongold . This game is being awesome .
Just saw the 2nd ending . This game gets better and better as u play
I really hope the next title of this game’s studio will have a bigger world to explore
It is said to be from the open world
they have already trade marked a few new "black myth" titles with other Chinese mythology figures such as Nerzha.

Asmongold returns to monke.
My favorite part was when you defeated the Loong Black and got his Thunderbone.
