The Nit game is single handedly only thing that breaks any poker player. It makes people force action and punt 10x the amount they would have to pay, just for the sake of not being called the Nit.. what a weird phenomenon.
@@scotland369The penalty is usually between 20bb to 100bb - so when being in a 1v1 situation, you will have a big incentive to win it. Lets say you are 100bb deep, with a mediocre holding at the co - like k8o. BB is the player that you are fighting for the nit, which is 50bb penalty. Would you not open? If he raise you would fold? It is a math question - if you have 50BB extra to win (actually more - because you receive a fraction of the penalty) you need to play wider and need to be more aggressive - just like with the 72 game. I understand your point - which is ppl tend to suicide with this types of holdings, when in nit game, but mathematically, you are inclined to play much less nitty when facing the nit game because of the dead money

A lot of them are just trolling. I won $51,000 last summer in the main event and overall had a nice +$20,000 year in cash games. The tournaments earlier this year knocked out some of that which left me around $35,000 at beginning of summer. That is what I’m trying to spin up to 100k before the 100 days. Everything I play with is my money and then I sell action for the tournaments with a few of my friends who want a piece.
I like your content but have an issue with these click baity titles. To have that title and an entire video that has nothing to do with it is a bit disingenuous and misleading. There’s no way your entire bankroll is just 10k
you seem to have a great understanding of ranges, though I think you could improve on getting tells from your opponents behaviour. Especially in big bets, like when someone makes a big bet you seem to start calculating ranges/looking at your/their chips. However, I notice in pros they will spend most of the time getting tells in their opponents by staring them down/asking rhetorical questions/etc to then put them on a more accurate range if not just rat out a bluff completely. I could be wrong though I think once you can master that you would be a formidable opponent and feel more comfortable playing winning hands.

I am sure mr x played wild, bluffed a lot etc. Looked like was re-raising all preflop bets. That last 99 hand he just smooth called pre. He probably remembered your earlier trap and put you on a strong hand. Not sure there is a need to call 2k bet in pot with only 200 invested holding mid pair. Only beat a bluff and could still get sucked out on if he bluffing. But only saw a few hands he played. If he is shoving every time with anything then makes sense to call. Players like that either have to make a hand and give them rope or commit pre when got a premium.
Mister X reminds me of years ago playing in the Norwegian masters of Poker and this Swedish guy couldn't get a seat in the high limit Omaha or no limit tables he sat down with 15K in an 1/2 no limit game and would just put whole table all if he had anything remotely playable. It was absolute carnage an English pro was losing his mind he couldn't get there against this guy. I quadrupled up to a little over 2k and a Danish pro bought out my seat for another €200 on the way back from the bathroom as everyone went on a waitlist to switch to our table 🤣🤣
