와.. 영어가 원어민이셔서 한국말은 서툴 줄 알았는데.. 둘 다 원어민이네요..한국에서 태어나셨다면 어떻게 영어공부 하셨는지 궁금해요!
Hi James! 좋은말 감사합니다~ 저는 아주 어릴때 미국으로 이민왔어요! 근데 제일 중요한건 주로 미국친구들이랑만 놀고 지내서 영어가 모국어로 됬고, 강사로 일하면서 한국어가 더 유창해졌어요 ㅋㅋㅋ. 주어진 환경에 완벽히 적응해서 얻은 언어 실력인거 같아요 ㅋㅋㅋ
강의보면서 공부하다가 갑자기 궁금해진건데요.. 4:26 부분에서 doctors ‘treat’ patients and ‘save’ lives, 하고 뒤에 making the world a much better place to live in 이라고 하셨는데 making 말고 make해도 괜찮을까요 혹시...? 아니면 making 이라고 하는게 원래 맞는건가요(더 자연스럽나요)? 트집잡거나 그러려는건 아닌데 제가 문법이 약해서인지 왜 동명사 형태로 오는건지 궁금해요 ㅠㅠ
그문장에선 make 이라 하면 문법 실수에요! "save lives, MAKING the world"making 이라고 쓴 이유는 "," 다음에 descriptive clause 추가 할뗀 "which" 아니면 동사ing 를 써야되요, 근데 이번엔 Doctors make the world a better place 이라는것을 전달하고 싶어서 making the world 썼어요. "which" 으로 썼을뗀 "," 바로 앞에있는 단어 설명하는거라서 틀린거에요 ㅋㅋㅋ. Example: My dad works all day and all night, supporting all and putting food on the table for all of us. Example #2: My dad works at a company, which specializes in car engines.

선생님 안녕하세요! ㅎㅎ 혹시 out of all the jobs in the world 에서 out of은 -의 중에서 라는 전치사로쓰였나요 ? out of 의 쓰임이 많은데 대표적인 몇가지만 가르쳐주실수있나요,,ㅠㅠ
"among all the" / "from all the" / "amid-amidst all the" -- I would say that these are acceptable substitutes, but don't worry too much about changing the template as what you say in the blanks are much more important (the reading/listening information -and/or- your own thoughts)
